Oh hello, Market Friday fam! I know it's been a while. Glad to be able to share another unusual market experience today.
How often do you window shop? Well, I find it funny because now that I think of it, I window shop more often than I actually buy something when I visit malls. 🤣 I have this series of questions that I asked myself whenever I'm tempted to buy something that might look fancy, pretty, or cute but I could live without for the time being. I could remember the countless times I've lined up at the cashier only to retreat and go back home empty-handed after I ask myself those questions. At times, I just want to splurge! I do it mostly in December. But this write-up is not about me splurging like there's no tomorrow last December, it's more of the opposite!
During the last day of my work trip to Manila, we had about free 3 hours before our flight back to Cebu. Since it was Prosper's first time in Manila, I wanted to bring him to SM MOA so he can also wander around there, and in turn, I could quickly visit this shop that I've been heard of. Shop is an understatement. Tbh!
Last year, I took an online Interior Design course, which I haven't finished yet. Two more modules and I'm done! I'll definitely finish it this year. Even prior to this online course, I've been interested in interior design. One of my biggest dreams is to be an able homemaker and if you're a homemaker, you gotta be good at many things including keeping the house organized, comfortable, and happy. I think that's one of the many reasons why I got interested in Interior Design. I want to design my own house one day.
You can imagine the not-so-little Pat giddying her way to SM MOA where the world-renowned Swedish brand, Ikea [Philippines] is adjacent. If I'm not mistaken, it opened in November of 2021. It was fascinating to find out that Ikea Philippines houses the widest selection of home and office furniture and fixtures and that it took almost two hours just touring around a single floor! Take note: a single floor. If not for the call time I set myself, I would've stayed longer and explored the two or three other floors of the superstore! I spent a great deal of my time there hopping from one model house/room to another. Scrutinizing the designs, colors, and texture of the furniture and fixtures. Absolutely everything inside Ikea is beautiful to my naked eyes! I'm just really glad I was only there to window shop, otherwise, I would've gone broke! Recalling it now makes my heart happy! 🥰
For those who've been to Ikea in their respective countries, maybe you can share your experience, too!
