It's really frustrating when I want to visit somewhere at night but the weather just won't let me. To be honest, I love cold weather; I also love rain, but my body can't take too much cold. If not a runny nose, then I'll get a cough. Worse, I can also get sick. And that's the disadvantage of having bad weather. How am I going to find an AFAM if I'm weak with a cold? Kidding, lol.
Kidding aside, walking outside in cold weather is really refreshing. I'd love to do this. But I can't because I'm afraid to get sick. I think I'd rather not go outside than get sick later if I forced myself to go outside. Even with a thick jacket, I don't want to take a risk, so I just stay in our home. And because of that, I missed going outside to unwind with the best view, which is in Plaza de Bansud.
Aside from the beautiful lights everywhere in Plaza de Bansud, I also love this part of the Park. This is a good spot for a date with your special someone and the big shop at the back of that little structure there is where Chowking is located. Yep, they have a shop here same with Shakey's with their Shakey's on Wheels. The last time that we went there Chowking is full packed with costumers.
It is sad that I didn't have enough cash at that time, but even if I did, I think I will pass on that as I am watching my expenses until now. And, there are more stalls here that sell different kinds of foods at a cheaper price, so we opt to just buy that. And I heard there are new stalls there with different sellers. different from when we last visited. Some left, so they were replaced by a new one.
I learned about it because my high school classmate has one there, and they sell different kinds of foods, from Korean to Philippine snacks. They have their own page, and when I saw that they have their own stall in there, I ordered some snacks. Because even if I wanted to visit their stall, I couldn't because of the cold weather. This is my way of showing support for their business.
Actually, every corner of this Park has different kind of food stalls. And anyone can accommodate it. Well, it's a bit hard when there are too many people in Park. But for sure it's a paradise for these sellers. I just saw my favorite street foods or what you call here in Philippines the "Tusok Tusok." Because you will literally poking those deep fried snacks using a stick or a skewers.
And another stall, there are more people selling this kind of snack here because they know people loves this kind of food. From kids to adult they all love it, including me. I particularly love that color orange snacks, it it a quail egg that was coated with seasoned batter made with flour and water added with some seasonings and more. It is best with sweet dip or a vinegar with lots of onions, garlic, chili and cucumber.
And, not just that of course, there are also lots of stalls here that sells different kind of shawarma. It's just depends on the seller how they prepare their own version of Shawarma. How they seasoned the meat, their other ingredients and more. I already tried Shawarma Burger before and I really love it with hot sauce.
So this time, I tried Java Rice with Shawarma and I also asked them to put some hot sauce here. I like it, for it's price, $1.09, it's worth it and it makes me full too. I love the freshness of the veggies they use here like Cucumber, Tomato and Onions because they are still fresh and crunchy. It's all good but it's too oily, I feel like I dip my mouth in a bowl of oil after I finish, lol.
There's more stalls here actually that sells tummy foods, and this one was included. "Palabok" that I didn't had for so long and "Lumpiang Shanghai" Pork flavor. A perfect combination if you will ask. I bought it for $0.73 or 40php and it is already good for two people. I ate that with my Mama. In fact, we failed to finish it all because I am already full. It comes with that bowl.
So of course, it's not just all about food. We also need a drinks. You can see that here with different flavour and with that popular woth which we called "Palamig" with lot's of Gulaman. This is one of my favorite cold drink and it is just cheap unlike any others, it's called "Black Gulaman" here. It's really perfect with fried foods.
And after the eating spree, you can also have some fun activity here using these. Enjoy more the night and rent this Roller Shoes and this Bikes. It's not just for kids but also for adults. You can go around the Park while wearing and riding this. There's also a good spot here in Plaza de Bansud where you can enjoy more the Roller skate. Wish I can try this one day, lol. Although I don't know to use and maneuver it.
Walking in this kind of Market with different foods, drinks or anything is much enjoyable than anything else. And much much more if you are with your family and love ones. And here's Lugaw Lechon which is very good in a cold weather. It is a hot porridge with roasted pork. I'm not sure with the price but i'm sure it is affordable snacks.
