@MY INSPIRATION
My journey into this medical field was greatly inspired by my father, Dr Bhola Prasad Rauniyar a distinguished figure in healthcare. He is a Medical Oncologist and professor in Internal Medicine, having completed his MBBS degree in Bangladesh, Dhaka and MD in Internal Medicine in Karnataka, India. With over 40 years of experience, he is renowned in Nepal for his expertise and compassion. He has served as the President of the Nepal Medical Association (NMA) , and his name alone carries significant weight in the medical community. People from all corners of Nepal seek his treatment, and he is known for his dedication to providing free treatments.
Coming from a background of poverty, My father faced numerous challenges in his upbringing. His mother worked tirelessly in other households to provide him shelter, and he often relied on the kindness of others for his meals. As a child, he was a bit of a Spoiled brat, more interested in naughtiness than in studies. However, as he grew older, he realized the importance of studying and his responsibilities towards his family.
At the very young age of 12, he began to work tirelessly, walking for kilometers to reach school each day. Through determination and passion, he transformed himself into a dedicated student, consistently ranking at the top of his class. Despite facing financial hardships, he never trembled in his pursuit of education. His remarkable academic achievements earned him scholarships, easing some of the burden, but his mother continued to make sacrifices, selling items to support his basic needs and dreams.
Despite having numerous health challenges such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Hypothyroidism, Asthma, and Cardiac issues, and having undergone multiple surgeries, My father at the age of 69, remained determined to his commitment to his work. His determination serves as an inspiration to all who know him. Despite the adversities he faces, he continues to never give up attitude which is truly admirable.
I consider myself very lucky to have him as my Dad. His success has provided our family with opportunities and a comfortable life. His journey from poverty to abundance serves as a constant reminder of his hard work. He is my biggest inspiration in life. His story from struggling to successful is a big motivation for me. Now, as I started my career in dentistry, I want to make him proud and help others just as he did. I will work harder to give everyone brighter and healthier smiles!
