Hoy les traigo la segunda parte del tema de los muertos vivientes que les prometí y como les había dicho en la anterior publicación, les hablare acerca de aquellos que "si podrían existir" los cuales serian causados en dado caso por virus y bacterias. ¿Qué tipos de zombies si podrían existir?
Si vieron mi anterior publicación, los tipos de zombies que mueren y luego regresan como cadáveres a perseguirte para comerte, no pueden existir, pero hay otros tipos de zombies que son causados por virus, bacterias, parásitos que mas o menos, si podrían existir. En la naturaleza se dan varios de estos tipos de zombies y para dar un ejemplo, tenemos el típico caso de la hormiga y el hongo, el cual, se trata de un hongo que con sus esporas afecta a la hormiga, se adhiere a ella, atraviesa su exoesqueleto y desde su interior la empieza a controlar. Durante los dias posteriores, el hongo se va consumiendo a la hormiga poco a poco y la controla para que vaya a un lugar en especifico donde este (el hongo) se pueda reproducir y desde el cuerpo de la hormiga empezar a infectar a mas hormigas.
Según varios estudios científicos el hongo no controla el cerebro de la hormiga, si no que está afectando sus músculos, haciendo de la hormiga prácticamente una prisionera de su propio cuerpo.

Lo anterior, ¿Podría pasar en los humanos?
El caso de este hongo en específico es el que pasa en el video juego The Last of Ous. En el video juego, este hongo logró mutar para poder infectar a los seres humanos, causando así un tipo de apocalipsis zombie, donde los humanos están intentando infectar con este hongo a otros humanos.
Esto realmente no puede pasar porque este hongo solo afecta a insectos y pues, entra a través del exoesqueleto del insecto y nosotros los humanos no tenemos eso, ya que contamos con huesos y piel. Aun así en el video juego, este hongo entra también a través de la respiración por sus esporas, entonces, ¿podría entrar también en el ser humano y controlarlo como en el video juego?, la respuesta es no, pues tenemos todo un sistema que nos protege de las esporas de los hongos (el sistema inmune).
Todos los días estamos respirando un monto de esporas de hongos, en nuestra vida normal y obviamente hay ciertas excepciones de algunos hongos que son tóxicos, pero en general no nos pasa nada porque el sistema inmune siempre está alerta, además en las hormigas, este hongo no va a hacer que esta se vuelva zombie y muerda a otra, simplemente hará que el hongo crezca de ella y contagie a otra.
Could this happen in humans?
The case of this specific fungus is what happens in the video game The Last of Ous. In the video game, this fungus managed to mutate to be able to infect humans, thus causing a kind of zombie apocalypse, where humans are trying to infect other humans with this fungus.
This can't really happen because this fungus only affects insects and it enters through the insect's exoskeleton and we humans don't have that, since we have bones and skin. Even so, in the video game, this fungus also enters through breathing by its spores, so, could it also enter the human being and control it as in the video game, the answer is no, because we have a whole system that protects us from fungal spores (the immune system).
Every day we are breathing a lot of fungal spores, in our normal life and obviously there are certain exceptions of some fungi that are toxic, but in general nothing happens to us because the immune system is always alert, also in ants, this fungus will not make this one become a zombie and bite another, it will simply make the fungus grow from it and infect another.
