I hope you are doing well and enjoying your day. It has been a tiring start of Monday for me but thanks to evening short nap that recharge my energy. I'm actually a History teacher of Grade Seven and I wanted to discuss an important historical topic Ottoman Dynasty.
Ottoman Dynasty (1299-1923 C.E)

Ottoman Dynasty is one of the important and powerful Muslim Dynasties in the world. Ottoman Empire was founded by Osman Ghazi in 1299 C.E in Anatolia, Turkey. The reign of Ottoman Empire lasted for 600 Years.
Historical Background Of Ottoman Dynasty:
Seljuk Dynasty was based in Anatolia, Turkey in 1037 C.E. Seljuk were invaded by Mongols in 1194 C.E. The Turk-Muslim tribes migrated to different parts of the world because they don't want to face the ill treatment of Mongols. The largest Turkish tribes were Kayi and Yoruk. The leader of the Kayi tribe was Sulmain Shah whose son Ertugrul Ghazi was a great warrior. He conquered many areas of Europe. His Son Kurlus Osman united all the Turkish tribes and laid the foundation of Ottoman Empire.
Reign of Ottoman Empire:
The popular Ottoman emperor were Orhan I, Murad I, Mehmet, the Conqueror, Bayezid, Sulmain and Sultan Ahmed. The first 150 years of Ottoman Empire was era of development and expansion of Islamic territory.

1. Sultan :
The leader or administrator of the Ottoman Empire was called Sultan.
2. Janissaries:
The elite battle troops were called Janissaries. People of multi-ethnic and multi-religious join troops. They were well paid but regarded as slaves of dynasty.
3. Renamed Constantinople as Istanbul:
Turkish Sultan captured Constantinople from Byzantium Empire and declare it capital of Ottoman Empire. Sultan renamed it as Istanbul in 1453 C.E.
I also teach Geography that's why I would like to mention here that according to the geographical features Istanbul is only city of the world that is located on two continents, Europe and Asia.
4. Architecture:
Every dynasty has unique architecture style. The important buildings of the Ottoman Empire were Sultan Ahmed Masjid which is known as Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace etc.
Culture:
In the Ottoman Empire Turkish wore gold or silver jewelry and fur-lined dresses or Kaftans. There were multi-religious people who were to worship their religion. They weren't forced to accept Islam. They enjoy complete religious freedom.
Decline of Ottoman Empire:

In the 16th century, Ottoman Empire started to decline due to internal corruption and instability. Powerful rebelous or Freedom Movement was led by Kemal Ataturk. The Ottoman Empire supported Germany in WW1(1914-1918 CE) which added to the restlessness among Turkish people.
A resolution was being pass by the Grand Turkish National Assembly in 1923 which abolished an important institution of Caliphate. That's how Turkey became republic.
I hope Stemsocial would accept my humble contribution. It was the topic I teach my students today and this one is my favorite topic.
