According to Elon Musk, starting with that flight in 2029, the rate of flights would begin to grow exponentially every two years and two months, coinciding with the launch windows because his objective would be to build a self-sufficient city in about 20 years and he ends by saying that the humanity being multiplanetary will greatly increase the probability of the preservation of human consciousness, we will have humans on two planets, more or less what he said.

The idea is that, if there is a disaster on Earth, at least there are other humans who can continue with our species and move forward, that in the long term, that is going to happen in the long term, another thing is that it happens in the deadlines that Elon Musk is pointing out, this is possible, there is a part that is yes, there is another part that is not and there is another part that it is impossible for SpaceX to launch a ship to Mars with a StarShip within 2 years as a test flight, to verify that the StarShip can land without problems, it would be possible that it would not be a manned flight so it is not necessary for that ship to be developed with all the life support to keep humans alive.

Keeping humans alive is something that can be very complex, much more complex, for example, the Orion ship is the ship that has been designed for NASA for the Artemis program to take Humans to the moon and this ship has a capacity to host humans limited to a few months, however, a trip to Mars involves traveling, staying and returning for what in the best case could be a year or more.

That two years and two months later the mission with humans is launched, I do see it as very, very complicated because the ship should be fully developed and the self-sufficient city thing, that is impossible, someone has to say it. , it is a very hasty statement to say that they will be able to build a self-sufficient city on Mars by this century, it does not make sense.

Because there are some substances and some alloys and some compounds that can only be obtained under those conditions or are obtained with a much higher purity than what could be obtained on Earth, where we cannot get rid of gravity since it surrounds us on all sides.
