Yes, writing has indeed changed significantly in the era of AI-assisted tools. I do not think the solution is to reject these tools outright as they can be extremely useful as advanced spelling and grammar assistants, or even as brainstorming aids. The problem arises when they replace the author's voice rather than support it.
What I personally value, which is what I believe should be rewarded, is authenticity. A blog post should feel like it comes from a person who genuinely wants to share something, and such a personal investment is what the community should be looking for. For content that reads like a polished Wikipedia summary with no original perspective or reflection, I would probably still support it at a minimal level as this is certainly preferable to misinformation. I would, however, not consider it particularly rewarding from a curation standpoint.
The real question is what we want StemSocial (or Hive in the broader scope) to encourage. In my opinion, the goal should be to foster human exchange, and this should remain central.
