Hablemos de Infectologia pediatrica 😷👩🏻‍⚕️🏥🇻🇪

Hello, today I want to talk to you a little about one of my jobs, I start by telling you that the pediatric infection unit is on the 2nd floor of the pediatric tower of the Autonomous Service University Hospital of Maracaibo, the same is located on the avenue 16 guajira, via ziruma, north of the state zulia Venezuela is a type IV hospital founded in the year 1960; Where various specialties are taken care of, which gives attention to an extensive population; following what I want to tell you, the pediatric Infectologia unit attends patients between 0 and 15 years of age who arrive until our service diagnosed with an infectious disease or is its defect by presenting signs and symptoms of one of them and to give their relatives after their study a ceruterus diagnosis.

Hola, hoy quiero hablarles un poco sobre uno de mis trabajos, empiezo diciéndoles que la unidad de Infectologia pediatrica se encuentra en el 2do piso de la torre de pediatria del Servicio Autonomo Hospital Universitario de Maracaibo, el mismo esta ubicado en la avenida 16 guajira, via a ziruma, al norte del estado zulia Venezuela es un hospital tipo IV fundado en el año 1960;donde se atienden diversas especialidades, el cual brinda atencion a una extensa población; siguiendo con lo que quiero contarles la unidad de Infectologia pediatrica atiende pacientes de 0 a 15 años de edad que llegan hasta nuestro servicio diagnosticados con alguna enfermedad infectocontagiosa o es su defecto presentando signos y sintomas de alguna de ellas y para alli darles a sus familiares luego de su estudio un diagnostico certero.

What are infectious diseases?

are those diseases that are transmissible through a vector, (Vector) is the means used by the patogene agent to transport himself from person to person or from animal to person.
These diseases can be produced by ( Virus, bacteria, mushrooms and parasites).

¿ Que son enfermedades infectocontagiosas?

son aquellas enfermedades que son transmisibles a través de un vector, (Vector) es el medio que utiliza el agente patogeno para transportarse de persona a persona o de animal a persona.
Estas enfermedades puedes ser producidas por ( Virus, bacterias, hongos y parasitos)

among them we have Dengue, HIV/AIDS, Syphilis, gonorrhea, herpes, hepatitis, tuberculosis, coronavirus; in our unit we also attend pneumonia, bronchiotis, Central nervous system infections, skin infections and soft parts, neonatal sepsis among others; We have 7 rooms for hospitalisation in which 10 Camas and 12 beds are distributed for a total of 22 places, of which only 15 are currently available since 2 quarters were disabled due to infrastructure deterioration.

Entre ellas tenemos Dengue, VIH/SIDA, Sifilis, gonorrea, herpes, hepatitis, tuberculosis, coronavirus; en nuestra unidad tambien atendemos neumonia, bronquiolitis, Infecciones del sistema nervioso central, Infecciones de piel y partes blandas, sepsis neonatal entre otras; Contamos con 7 cuartos para hospitalizacion en los cuales se distribuyen 10 Camas y 12 cunas para un total de 22 cupos de los cuales en la actualidad solo se disponen de 15 ya que se tuvieron que inhabilitar 2 cuartos por deterioro de la infraestructura.

This unit is in charge of Dr. Karen Bauza pediatrician puericultor of this region excellent human being who seeks to give the best to every patient who is there, with the help of his resident doctors; In addition to 15 angels with his feet on the earth, we are 15 nurses who distribute us 1 per day making 24-hour shifts giving the best to our little ones admitted there; in this place we go from the diagnosis, application of treatments and care necessary for the patient to have a high medica for improvement coming home with health.

Esta unidad esta a cargo de la Dra. Karen Bauza pediatra puericultor de esta region excelente ser humano quien busca brindar lo mejor a cada paciente que alli se encuentra, con la ayuda de sus medicos residentes; Ademas de 15 angeles con los pies sobre la tierra 🤭🥰 Que somos 15 enfermeras que nos distribuimos de 1 por dia haciendo turnos de 24 horas dando lo mejor a nuestros pequeñitos alli ingresados; en este lugar vamos del diagnostico, aplicacion de tratamientos y cuidados necesarios para que el paciente tenga un alta medica por mejoria regresando a casa con salud.

I want to confess that working in pediatrics has left me many teachings, in my first days in this job I felt very afraid, afraid of being wrong, fear because I did not know if I was going to be at the level of this responsibility, pediatrics has taught me that children have magic, have a faith that melts mountains, children believe in miracles and attract them; pediatrics has taught me that it does not matter how big the problem I leave at home they always have a simple solution for everything and that there is nothing more rewarding than a child to tell you thank you, thanks to you I feel better, thanks to you I do not feel pain ....

Quiero confesarles que trabajar en pediatria me ha dejado muchas enseñanzas, en mis primeros dias en este trabajo senti mucho miedo, miedo a equivocarme, miedo porque no sabia si iba a estar al nivel de esta responsabilidad, pediatria me ha enseñado que los niños tienen magia, tienen una fe que derriba montañas, los niños creen en los milagros y los atraen; pediatria me ha enseñado que no importa cuan grande sea el problema que deje en casa ellos siempre tienen una solucion simple para todo y que no hay nada mas gratificante que un niño te diga gracias, gracias a ti me siento mejor, gracias a ti no siento dolor.....
