Sadly, I had to close down my physical business today, a lot has been going on this year, and asides from the challenges I have been facing, my business has also been suffering some terrible losses, I decided to count my loss and close it down once and for all after doing everything I could to salvage the situation. The entire process of closing down the business was more stressful than I thought, I had to go through the whole process of taking down, removing, parking, and movement of goods. I couldn't afford to pay people to get this done for me, so I just had to see to it myself.

When I got back home at night, I could not even move my arm, it felt as if my muscle were joined together, my entire body was on fire and the pain was a lot, I took some pain relief really fast and went straight to bed as I didn't even have the strength to take a bite of anything.
I reasoned that there are people who may have to undergo extreme stress on a daily basis, most of them in order to survive and I cannot help but wonder if they have to go through this same level of pain on a regular and exploring this topic is what I'll gladly do today.
The reaction of stress on the human body varies greatly, for some people, stress feels like their heart is about to explode out of their chest, and for others, stress pops up on their skin in form of a rash, there are people who also notice their hair falling out more than usual, and this could be as a result of stress too.
Stress is a part of life, except you have everything sorted out for you, you may have to go through stress at some point in your life, work stress is usually the most common type of stress as it is important for us to earn a living. Stress can sometimes give us the required motivation for hitting a deadline or giving in our best to a task. Stress, however, may not necessarily be the cause of certain conditions but the symptoms could be made worse according to Richard Lang who is an internal medicine physician. When the physical symptoms of stress get worse, it could lead to ''Vicious cycle''. Stress can negatively affect the body in so many ways, let's explore some of the things stress can do to our body.

Joints and Muscle.
Stress can cause severe pain, soreness, and tightness to the muscles, as well as create spams of pain which could lead to flare-ups of the symptoms of arthritis, fibromyalgia, and other conditions as stress actually lower the threshold for pain. Based on the report from American Psychological Association, published that, when the body experiences intense stress, the muscle would begin to tense up altogether and when stress goes away, the body is able to release tension.
Heart and Lungs.
Stress can lead to an increase in heart rate, excessive stress of the hormone cortisol may increase the condition of the heart and too much of stress hormone cortisol, may worsen the heart and the lungs, creating some health issues like; heart disease, high blood pressure, heart rhythm, stroke, and even asthma. Stress can also cause breath shortage and rapid breathing. When you notice any form of heart palpitations or tightness in the chest, you should see a doctor as soon as you can.
Sin and Hair.
There are several skin and hair products in the market, and some of them are particularly good but these skin care products would not work effectively, if the body is stressed, and there is a skin condition like eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea, stress would make it worse, resulting in hives, itchiness, excessive sweating, and even hair loss.
Gut.
Stress shows in the digestive system, so having a stomach issue when the body goes through stress is not far-fetched. Some simple symptoms could be mild pain, diarrhea, and constipation, but the condition could even get worse producing irritable bowel syndrome and acid reflux. Some stress cases could make you yearn for more or less food which can result in an unhealthy diet pattern, if the stress is severe, it could lead to vomiting too.
Shoulders, jaw, and head.
Excessive stress in the body can cause effects that would move through the tension triangle, which is the shoulder, jaw, and head. Stress can result in tension headaches, tightness in the neck and jaw, and even knots and spam in the neck and shoulder.
Immune System.
The immune system is highly required in the fight against diseases, but stress serves as a reducing factor in the body's defenses. The immune system can be boosted by eating properly, properly exercising, and training your immune system through stress reduction.
Mental Health.
Stress could contribute to symptoms of depression and the reduction of enthusiasm for some of the activities you would enjoy normally. Do not be afraid to speak with someone when you feel down.
How to identify symptoms of stress.
Some of us wait until we feel totally sick before we agree that we are stressed, but the body could be sending you subtle signs that may indicate it is time to address your health issues.
Dry mouth and difficulty with swallowing: Stress has the ability to slow down saliva production, which could cause dry mouth and swallowing difficulty.
Hair loss: Normally, there is a hair fallout when the hair follicle moves from the growth cycle stage to the resting cycle. Stress has the ability to disrupt this natural pattern and cause more follicles to enter into a resting case at once, resulting in an increased, and more noticeable hair loss.
Stomach upset.
Muscle aches and pain.
Dizziness and Lightheadedness.
Absence of sexual desire.
Regardless of the symptom felt, there are things that could be done to help keep the stress rate in check, the acts of self-care (usually, considered little), can go a long way to boost mind and body over time.
Exercise regularly.
Eat well and do all you can to stay hydrated.
Take fresh air, and experience nature.
Connect with other people and make new friends.
Creativity, will help you stay positive.
Learn to delegate tasks.
Conclusion.
Self-care is very important, while it is important for us to work, it is also highly important for us to subject ourselves to extreme self-care. Extreme stress should be avoided as much as possible, the daily routine of self-hygiene will do so much good.
