The robot that recognizes emotions.
The company Realbotix has just taken a step that completely changes the interaction between humans and machines, they have created a system capable of recognizing, remembering and interpreting human emotions in real time. This system called Finchi has already been implemented in a robot delivered to Ericson and what it does goes far beyond responding to commands, it observes, analyzes, and learns from each interaction.
The system uses cameras positioned directly in the robot's eyes, allowing it to maintain eye contact while observing the environment. That seemingly simple detail is essential because eye contact is one of the main elements of human connection and when a machine begins to replicate that behavior, perception changes completely. In addition, the system interprets emotional signals, behavioral patterns, even a person's level of engagement during the interaction.
