Hello everyone, its been so many days that i was away to Hive which is very sad to say because Hive i feel like something which makes me happy and comfort and i feel like its my home. How are you all? I hope you all are doing well and i am too.
Today i would like to share some interesting amazing educational thing and looks like magic. I am in histopathology posting and we got one case having medial side of clavicle some lesion and biopsy was done and sent for histopathological examination. When we are reporting with our sir, he stopped at one point of screening and examining the slide and asked us what is this? By pointing with arrow to this structure which is round and pale grey white and i told brood capsule and sir again asked us to think again.
So these are the structures which sir was asking.
Then sir asked us to bring polariser and we brought it and we gave it to sir and he used it and he highlighted same structures and asked again same question. The structures are highlighted as maltese cross.
Then we searched in mobiles and we found its an artifact because of the donning powder which is present in the gloves. The powder contains cornstarch particles which are crystalline polysaccharides and they gives the maltese cross pattern under polarising microscopy when used.
Is int it beautiful? Yes right.....
I will come up with another education related thing.
