Saludos a todos!! Hoy quiero hablarle un poco de mi trabajo y de lo bonito que es trabajar con bebés prematuros .
Premature newborns are those born before 37 weeks of gestation and due to their short time of intrautero development, most of them present underdeveloped organs, which make them a special condition for their care.
That is where my beautiful work comes in.
Los recién nacidos prematuros son aquellos que nacen antes de las 37 semanas de gestación y debido a su poco tiempo de desarrollo intrautero, la mayoría presenta órganos subdesarrollados,que hacen por si, una condición especial para su atención.

The lower the gestational age, the higher the risk of complications some of them are: *Respiratory distress; pathology known as hyaline membrane disease.
*Feeding deficiency.
- Neurological problems, including developmental problems.
Among others.
Mientras menor sea la edad gestacional mayor es el riesgo de complicaciones algunos como : *Disficiltad respiratoria; patología conocida como Enfermedad de membrana hialina.
*Disficiltad para alimentarse
- Problemas neurológicos, incluyedo problemas del desarrollo.
Entre otros.
Some factors that condition a premature birth are:
- Maternal age (adolescent pregnancy).
*Multiple miscarriages.
*Previous preterm birth.
*Multiple pregnancies.
*Infections during gestation.
*Hypertension and diabetes during gestation.
Algunos factores que condicionan un nacimiento prematuro son:
- Edad materna (Embarazo adolescente)
*Múltiple abortos.
*Nacimiento prematuro previo.
*Embarazo múltiples
*Infecciones durante la gestación.
*Hipertensión y diabetes durante la gestación.
Knowing the significance of a premature birth I want to tell you a little about the management of these babies!
In our NICU patients are admitted under Incubators, usually these patients must have minimal manipulation since they are so tiny that they can present hypothermia as well as stress. Each patient is managed according to the pathology they present; respiratory distress, neonatal sepsis, hemorrhage, among others.
Conociendo el significado de un nacimiento prematuro quiero comentarle un poco sobre el manejo de estos bebés!
En nuestra UCIN se ingresan a los pacientes bajo Incubadoras, por lo general estos pacientes deben tener manipulación mínimas ya que son tan pequeñitos que pueden presentar hipotermia además de estrés. En cada paciente se maneja la patología que presente ya sea; Distres respiratorio, sepsis neonatal, hemorragias entre otras
We start feeding as early as possible with breast milk, since breast milk provides immunoglobulins that help the newborn to improve rapidly, as well as greater gastric tolerance and higher caloric intake.
Iniciamos la alimentación lo más temprano que se pueda con leche materna, ya que la leche materna aporta inmunoglobulinas que ayudan al recién nacido a la mejoría rápida, además de mayor tolerancia gástrica y mayor aporte calórico.
One of the features I like most about my unit is that the mother is admitted with the premature baby being part of the treatment for development and healing. Because the family also contributes to the baby's improvement. The father can see his son whenever he wants to touch him, talk to him and even sing to him if possible hahahaha.
Una de las características que más me gusta de mi unidad, es que la madre se ingresa con el bebé prematuro siendo parte de tratamiento para el desarrollo y sanación. Porq la familia también contribuye a la mejora del mismo. El padre puedo ver a su hijo cada vez que quiera tocarle ,hablarle y hasta cantarle si es posible jajajaja

When I discharge my patients after a long stay hahahaha there is nothing more satisfying than being able to give their parents their baby and of course we always follow up with our patients.

Cuando doy de alta a mis pacientes después de una larga estadía Jajajaja no hay nada más satisfactorio que poder entregarle a sus padres a su bebé y por supuesto siempre le hacemos seguimiento a nuestros pacientes.
