Recientemente vi el documental llamado Ancient Gods of Egypt y enormemente llamo mi atención El Dios Seth que pertenece a esta mitologá Egipcia ya que de la Nada nace el Caos, los antiguos lo sabían y una cultura que logro plasmar toda una mitología de Dioses que le da forma a la naturaleza es La Egipcia los cuales sabían que si hay bien entonces existe el mal porque es parte del equilibrio, del balance natural e inevitable de las cosas, el propósito de este post es darles a conocer este personaje tenebroso a la vez que dejar conocimiento sobre Seth el cual es uno de muchos Dioses que representan el Caos, El Desorden y El Terror que en este caso acechaba a la Ancestral Civilización Egipcia.
Seth es El Dios Egipcio del Desierto, se le atribuye la violencia y la sequía, por estas dos razones las personas le temían y recordemos que el miedo obliga respeto por temor al castigo divino, el Dios del Olimpo egipcio que se pudiera considerar maligno por los diversos actos atroces que cometió en los relatos grabados en piedra y jeroglíficos de aquella religión que una vez domino los desiertos.
I recently saw the documentary called Ancient Gods of Egypt and I greatly called my attention to the God Seth who belongs to this Egyptian mythology because of the from Nothingness comes Chaos, the ancients knew it and a culture that managed to capture a whole mythology of Gods that shapes nature is the Egyptian who knew that if there is good then there is evil because it is part of the balance, the natural and inevitable balance of things, the purpose of this post is to let you know this dark character while leaving knowledge about Seth which is one of many Gods who represent Chaos, Disorder and Terror that in this case stalked the ancient Egyptian Civilization.
Seth is the Egyptian God of the Desert, he is attributed with violence and drought, for these two reasons people feared him and let us remember that fear obliges respect for fear of divine punishment, the God of the Egyptian Olympus who could be considered evil for the various heinous acts he committed in the stories engraved in stone and hieroglyphics of that religion that once dominated the deserts.
Es grato para mi traer este personaje a la comunidad y este será uno mas de muchos dioses en distintas religiones ancestrales que representa las tinieblas, hace poco hable de Lucifer por la parte cristiana y ahora es el turno de Seth que engloba principalmente el Caos por las variadas razones que voy a enumerar a continuación:
- El Mal que debe Existir:
Esta es la parte mas conflictiva porque cada individuo no puede escapar de la oscuridad que hay en las tinieblas de su mente, en algunos es mas que en otros pero siempre existe y esto se traslada a la naturaleza, siempre escucho decir que la naturaleza es bella pero en realidad tiene una contraparte monstruosa, volátil e incontrolable cuando desata su furia y precisamente esto representa Seth con un enfoque orientado hacia el desierto.
La razón de que sea El Mal es la siguiente, cuando solo existía la oscuridad del Universo, de la nada nace el dios Ra aquel que es EL Sol el cual crea a los Dioses Primigenios Egipcios como el Aire, La Humedad, El Cielo y La Tierra, estos dos últimos nacieron amándose y fruto de su amor nacieron cinco dioses, entre ellos Seth que le fue asignado el Desierto y todas las cualidades negativas que este posee.
Cada Religión se basa en el entorno que rodea a la cultura que pertenece y en el caso de los egipcios, el desierto significaba soledad y desesperación sobre todo en épocas de sequía donde la hambruna traería sufrimiento y muerte a la población egipcia.
It is a pleasure for me to bring this character to the community and this will be one more of many gods in different ancestral religions that represent the darkness, recently I spoke of Lucifer for the Christian part and now it is the turn of Seth that mainly encompasses the Chaos for the various reasons that I will list below:
- The Evil that must Exist:
This is the most conflicting part because each individual cannot escape the darkness that is in the darkness of his mind, in some it is more than in others but it always exists and this is transferred to nature, I always hear it said that nature is beautiful but in reality it has a monstrous, volatile and uncontrollable counterpart when it unleashes its fury and precisely this represents Seth with a focus oriented towards the desert.
The reason why he is Evil is the following, when there was only the darkness of the Universe, from nothingness the god Ra is born, the one who is the Sun which creates the Egyptian Primordial Gods such as Air, Moisture, Sky and Earth, these last two were born loving each other and fruit of their love five gods were born, among them Seth who was assigned the Desert and all the negative qualities that it possesses.
Each religion is based on the environment surrounding the culture to which it belongs and in the case of the Egyptians, the desert meant loneliness and despair especially in times of drought where famine would bring suffering and death to the Egyptian population.
- Seth es el Caín Egipcio de la envidia:
Uno de los actos mas atroces de Seth fue el asesinar y descuartizar a su hermano Osiris solo por la envidia que le consumió al ver que su hermano ejerció como Faraón un Reino del bien, de justicia, de paz y era amado por los egipcios.
Esto tiene semejanza directa con una de las historias Bíblicas mas perturbadora de todas en la que Caín y Abel los cuales eran hijos de Adán y Eva tienen un conflicto en el cual Caín termina matando a Abel, en la versión Egipcia sucede lo mismo pero con el agregado de que Seth no solo mato a su hermano, el le descuartizo y lo esparció en 14 pedazos por todo Egipto.
El mal que le consumió fue la Envidia porque el veía como su resto de Hermanos, Dioses y Egipcios amaban al buen gobernante Osiris, no soporto esto y conspiro sin remordimiento alguno para derrocarle y profanar su cuerpo de esa manera.
- Seth is the Egyptian Cain of envy:
One of Seth's most heinous acts was to murder and butcher his brother Osiris only because of the envy that consumed him when he saw that his brother exercised as Pharaoh a Kingdom of good, of justice, of peace and was loved by the Egyptians.
This has direct resemblance with one of the most disturbing Biblical stories of all in which Cain and Abel who were sons of Adam and Eve have a conflict in which Cain ends up killing Abel, in the Egyptian version the same thing happens but with the addition that Seth not only killed his brother, he butchered him and scattered him in 14 pieces all over Egypt.
The evil that consumed him was Envy because he saw how the rest of his brothers, Gods and Egyptians loved the good ruler Osiris, he could not stand this and conspired without remorse to overthrow him and desecrate his body in this way.
- Seth aquel que representa El Caos:
Mas allá de los relatos y actos atroces de Seth como el que ya mencione, la naturaleza es dual y un concepto que lo explica muy bien es el Ying y Yang el cual plantea que donde hay luz entonces hay oscuridad, si hay bien pues hay mal, cuando nacen todos los Dioses a el se le asigna no solo el Desierto, se le otorga la violencia que en esencia genera Las Guerras y El Caos.
Este último elemento es crucial en la simbología y definición de Seth, por eso el animal que le representa no esta bien definido y se considera inclusive abstracto y fuera de toda lógica en el zoológico egipcio, también se le llama Dios de Las Tormentas precisamente por lo impredecible e incontrolable de su actuar, estas dos palabras son en esencia el núcleo del Caos, condiciones inesperadas que el egipcio de la época no podía controlar, si esto sucedía en las cosechas que morían por plagas solo por mencionar un ejemplo, esto se le atribuía a Seth.
Un post que me ha encantado escribir y trate de resumir todo lo que envuelve a este personaje tan complejo, comete muchos actos atroces mas como su lucha contra Horus hijo de Osiris el cual es equivalente al Jesús Bíblico pero pienso se comprende el por que por milenios este Dios domino con tinieblas y puño de hierro la creencia religiosa de la ancestral población egipcia.
Dedicado todos y cada uno de mis post y videos a mi perrita llamada princesa que la llamábamos chiquito que ya no está con nosotros pero desde el cielo verá que su existencia SI fue valiosa y lo más hermoso que existirá en mi corazón y alma.
- Seth, the one who represents Chaos:
Beyond the stories and atrocious acts of Seth as the one already mentioned, the nature is dual and a concept that explains it very well is the Ying and Yang which states that where there is light then there is darkness, if there is good then there is evil, when all the Gods are born to him is assigned not only the Desert, he is given the violence that in essence generates The Wars and Chaos.
This last element is crucial in the symbolism and definition of Seth, that is why the animal that represents him is not well defined and is even considered abstract and out of all logic in the Egyptian zoo, he is also called God of Storms precisely because of the unpredictable and uncontrollable of his actions, these two words are in essence the core of Chaos, unexpected conditions that the Egyptian of the time could not control, if this happened in the crops that died from plagues just to mention an example, this was attributed to Seth.
A post that I have loved to write and try to summarize everything that involves this character so complex, commits many atrocious acts as his fight against Horus son of Osiris which is equivalent to the Biblical Jesus but I think it is understood why for millennia this God dominated with darkness and iron fist the religious belief of the ancient Egyptian population.
