Hello beautiful community, what a joy to be here again sharing with you and telling you about my sow Frida and her eight children.
Para comenzar les cuento que no es muy habitual colocarle nombre a los cerdos por aquí, pero Frida es especial para mí, aparte de que la tengo desde que era recién nacida, me la regaló mi abuelo.
To begin with, it is not very common to name pigs around here, but Frida is special to me, besides the fact that I have had her since she was a newborn, my grandfather gave her to me as a gift.
Es una milagro tenerla, cuando nació su mamá murió y es muy raro que las crías se salven ya que necesitan la lactancia y el calor de mamá, ya se había perdido la fé de que ellos se salvarán por lo pequeños que eran, pero yo le pedí a mi abuelo que me regalará la única hembra por cierto, mi abuelo accedió pero con picardía me dijo que "seguro se salva".
It is a miracle to have her, when she was born her mother died and it is very rare that the offspring are saved because they need breastfeeding and the warmth of mom, I had already lost faith that they would be saved because of how small they were, but I asked my grandfather to give me the only female by the way, my grandfather agreed but with mischief he told me that "sure she will be saved".
La cuidé, la abrigaba en las noches y con un biberón la alimentaba, yo sentía que si podía seguir con su crecimiento y bueno, aquí tenemos a Frida que hoy se hizo mamá y yo feliz.
I took care of her, I kept her warm at night and fed her with a bottle, I felt that I could continue with her growth and well, here we have Frida who became a mother today and I am happy.
