La primera vez que vi a un morrocoy quede impactada. Ya que media un metro aproximadamente de largo, era la primera vez que observaba un animal tan extraño, el cual llamo mucho mi atención.
The first time I saw a morrocoy I was shocked. Since it was about one meter long, it was the first time I observed such a strange animal, which called my attention.
Con el pasar de tiempo siempre iba con mi mamá, mi papá y mis hermanas a la finca de mi abuelo Custodio el allí tenia muchos morrocoyes muy hermosos y bien cuidados, se podían apreciar varias especies una colorida y algunas tan grandes que sinceramente causaban gran impacto.
As time went by, I always went with my mom, my dad and my sisters to my grandfather Custodio's farm, where he had many beautiful and well cared for morrocoyes, you could see several colorful species and some of them were so big that they caused a great impact.

Para mi estos animalitos son un encanto, la inmensa diversidad nos hace pensar que realmente ignoramos mucha información con respecto a esta especie. Poseen un ciclo de más de 50 años de vida son muy pocos los animales que tienen la dicha de vivir tantos años.
For me these little animals are a delight, the immense diversity makes us think that we really ignore a lot of information regarding this species. They have a life cycle of more than 50 years, very few animals have the joy of living so many years.

Hoy en día la avaricia ha roto los valores y principios de respeto hacia estos nobles y fieles animales, por ende debemos de proteger la vida de estos, para eso contamos con diversos programas de regeneración ambiental, para la preservación de la fauna. Porque estos indefensos animales están en peligro de extinción, por la devastación de los espacios naturales donde ellos habitan.
Today greed has broken the values and principles of respect towards these noble and faithful animals, therefore we must protect the life of these, for that we have various environmental regeneration programs for the preservation of wildlife. Cabe destacar que hace una semana aproximadamente fui a la casa de una amiga la cual tenia alrededor de 15 morrocoyes de diferentes tamaños, dicha amiga me obsequio dos de estos lindos ejemplares hembras las dos, una de nombre Prince y la otra de nombre Princesa, me emocione mucho al recibir este gran obsequio.

Cuando llegue a mi casa con este esplendido obsequio mi familia quedo sorprendida, se alegraron mucho, ya que ellos al igual que yo aman a los animales. A partir de allí esta dos morrocoyas han estado a nuestro lado y hemos compartidos grandes e inolvidables momentos, los cuales nos han dado una gran enseñanza de vida, estos inofensivos animalitos son tan ágiles que se escoden y muchas veces tenemos que buscarlas, para darles que comer comen lechuga, tomate y flores de auyama etc, a pesar de ser apenas unas bebes son de gran comer, llaman mucho la atención de familiares y amigos.
When I arrived home with this splendid gift my family was surprised, they were very happy, because they like me love animals. From then on these two morrocoyas have been by our side and we have shared great and unforgettable moments, which have given us a great teaching of life, these harmless animals are so agile that they hide and many times we have to look for them, to give them to eat they eat lettuce, tomato and pumpkin flowers etc, despite being just babies they are great eaters, they attract much attention from family and friends.
Estoy inmensamente feliz de tener estos dos animalitos en mi hogar, agradezco cada día a DIOS, por obsequiarme estos lindos momentos, los cuales siempre comparto al lado de mi familia, estos momentos tan hermosos no los cambiaría ni por todo el oro del mundo. Ya que la felicidad no la da el dinero sino los momentos de dicha y felicidad que compartimos al lado de nuestros seres queridos.
I am immensely happy to have these two animals in my home, I thank GOD every day, for giving me these beautiful moments, which I always share with my family, these beautiful moments I would not change them even for all the gold in the world. Happiness is not given by money but by the moments of joy and happiness that we share with our loved ones.

Para culminar puedo decirles, que esta clase de animales no son muy comunes dentro de los hogares, ya que ellas están acostumbradas a un hábitat más natural, pero quiero que sepan que mis hijos hicieron de mi casa ese hábitat natural que ellas necesitan, para poder crecer y desarrollarse sin ningún tipo de problemas.
To finish I can tell you that this kind of animals are not very common in homes, since they are used to a more natural habitat, but I want you to know that my children made my house the natural habitat they need to grow and develop without any problems.
