Hello friends pet lovers
Today I have some bad news about Mylo.
If this is the first time you read me, let me put you in context:
Mylo was a dog that we rescued last May 5th, just run over and abandoned, we had no heart to leave him there, we recat him, we assisted, we took him to the vet, diagnosing a displaced fracture, in his left paw.
He was operated 23 days ago, and just on the 21st day after the operation, it was his turn to have his paw plaque control, to see how he had evolved, we depended on this study, to decide whether or not to remove the external tutors, if the X-rays came out well, we could remove the tutors, and from there to rehabilitation.
Making of the plaque and news
This Monday we did the x-ray, it was a quick procedure, without major things, Mylo behaved very well, then we had to wait for the results, when the results arrived, and we saw them we knew that something was not right, they were sent to the traumatologist, and the news were not encouraging.
*News
Well it turned out that for reasons that we don't understand, the tutor moved, and displaced the bone outside, only a small portion of the bone was in contact with the other portion of bone, however, the fibula the smallest bone is totally in the air, this means, that unfortunately the intervention we performed was lost, so we have to buy it again 馃槺.
*What will be done now?
It is necessary to operate again now with a nail or intramedullary tutor, that means, that they will place the tutor in the middle of the bone, to be able to fix the fractures, and to reposition the external tutors, since the fibula bone, is next to the tibia, this bone is very small and a tutor cannot be placed, since there is a risk of damaging the bone by its diameter, so they must be both, external Tutors and intramedullary tutor.
We have our respective fears because of the risk that once again we have to undergo a new intervention, and the risk that the operation, the risk of damaging the bones, in addition to the post operative care, but it must be done and I hope that this time it will work and Mylo can walk normally.
