The time has finally come for our fur babies to roam around the Instagrammable Ayala Terraces. Tiger had a blast on his first visit. Please read on to see what this good boi was up to and how you can also bring your own fur baby to the mall.
Tiger is seven years old and a mixed breed. He's my first pet dog and was given to me as a gift by one of my college students. I've always wanted a male dog, so when she told me she'd give me one of her mama dog's litter, I was interested. But when she said that her daughter named the puppy Tiger, I knew I just had to have him. I was born in the year of the Tiger. So yeah, this gwapo is pretty special to me.
After years of just passing by, Tiger finally entered the gate. He was so excited I couldn't take a proper photo of him on our way there. It was a good thing my sister Sarah was with us and took the leash for me.
Since we were trying to save money, we took advantage of J.Co Donuts's vaccine promo: two free donuts for each drink you purchase. It's available until November 30, 2021, and you just need to present your vax card to avail of it.
To be honest, I just needed a break from work and to reward myself for submitting two essays for my online course at the time. And of course, Tiger enjoys walks and loves gardens. He will never leave a hedge nor a patch of grass unsprinkled with his mark. Nothing makes me happier than seeing his eyes twinkle with excitement at the sights, sounds, and smells.
My sister brought her camera and took some photos of us when we were done with our snack. Tiger tried to sit still, but he was too energetic.
Guess we got lucky with this shot. All eyes are on the camera. And we're looking like it's our graduation photo, hehe. But the next minute, he was already tugging the leash. There was something in the bush that he had to investigate.
It turned out to be just another dog's scent, so he went the other way. And we proceeded to enjoy the hedges this early evening.
My sister and I may look a bit worn, but we're actually happy for Tiger. It's not easy walking the dog, especially when there are lots of people around. But it's also a good thing because then we take less busy routes.
We love to call him Sherlock Bones sometimes because he never gets tired of investigating anything that perks his interest and curiosity. This time, dried leaves have taken his full attention.
Pets in Ayala Center Cebu are not allowed inside the mall premises. They are limited only to the Terraces, which includes the patio and the garden. Ayala Central Bloc at IT Park has a more open policy because pets can enter the mall. However, I still prefer ACC because it's nearer to our house and has a larger space for Tiger to explore.
Such as these scenic flights of stairs, for example. It's giving me Las Vegas vibes because of all the lights.
And just look at this piece of architecture! I think I'm not the only one who goes to this mall not only to shop but to enjoy the architectural design and the landscape as well. And I would like to believe that Tiger appreciates them too.
As much as we'd like to stay longer, it's time to go home and have dinner. We promised him we'd buy him his favorite fried chicken at Ngohiong Express. He knows where the store is and automatically runs up the stairs when we pass by whenever we're going home from our walks.
Would you like to bring your dog to the Terraces at Ayala Center Cebu or at Ayala Central Bloc? It's very easy. Just fill up the registration form, which you can download online or get at their concierge desk on the ground floor of ACC. I also submitted photocopies of Tiger's updated vaccination records.
Then I got his ID for free, and I taped his photo later. He's looking quite emo in this one, right?
Ayala Malls are pretty late to the party when it comes to becoming pet friendly. SM, Parkmall, and Galleria have already been open to pets since years ago. But proximity matters to me, so I'm really psyched about this development.
You can read more about the steps and paw-licies on Ayala Center Cebu's Facebook page.
Till next time. Gotta go take Tiger for another walk again before it rains.
