She’s Daysi, and today marks one year since she came into my life.
That day, I was on my way back home with my family. We were driving on the highway, and I remember seeing the truck in front of us try to swerve around something. Suddenly, we saw two little dogs curled up in the middle of the road, terrified. We just couldn’t leave them there—there was absolutely nothing for miles—so we took them with us.
As soon as we got back to the city, we took them to the vet to take care of them. We bathed them and took pictures to put them up for adoption. Daysi’s sister quickly found a home, but Daysi kept coming back to us, because nobody wanted a puppy that caused trouble. Little by little, we grew attached to her, and now she’s fully part of our lives.
I’d dare say that instead of me saving her life, she actually saved mine. Having her with me has made me so happy, and she’s taught me to be patient.
How did you all meet your pets?

Ella es Daysi y hoy cumple un año desde que llegó a mi vida.
Ese día iba de regreso a mi casa con mi familia, veníamos en carretera y recuerdo que vimos como la camioneta de enfrente quiso esquivar algo, de repente vimos dos perritas en medio de la carretera echas bolita y muy asustadas, no tuvimos el corazón para dejarlas ahí porque no había absolutamente nada en kilómetros, así que las llevamos con nosotros.
En cuanto llegamos a la ciudad las llevamos al veterinario para cuidarlas, las bañamos y les tomamos foto para darlas en adopción, la hermana de Daysi pronto encontró una casa, pero Daysi siempre regresaba a nosotros porque nadie quería a un cachorro que hacía desastre. Desde entonces nos encariñamos con ella y ya forma parte de nuestras vidas.
Me atrevería a decir que en vez de yo salvar su vida en realidad ella salvó la mía, me ha hecho muy feliz tenerla conmigo y me ha enseñado a ser muy paciente.
