I know it is already April 12 here in the Philippines but since most people just celebrated National Pet Day, I would like to share with you a funny story about my brother once.
He accidentally stepped on a stray cat that was resting on our garage. It was a bit dark coz the lights were out and it was a black cat so there was no way he could have seen it. So he unintentionally(but knowing my brother he probably did it on purpose coz he doesn't like cats, he's more of a dog person) stepped on the sleeping feline. The cat got startled and it rushed out of the garage but do you know what happened next? It changed its mind and went back for my brother's ankle shouting (meow meow meow meow) and he bit my brother on the ankle. There's nothing funny about being bit by an animal but the fact that the cat made an infuriated sound when it was going for my brother's ankle makes you think that stray cats don't like to be treated like trash. It was probably saying.. "I maybe a stray cat but it doesn't mean you can treat me like that. Payback's a bitch!!" (Meow meow meow meow his way out)
The black cat happens to be of my cousin's (hehe) who loves to hang around our garage warming himself.
After that incident I started to have an affinity with cats and dogs. Specially the stray ones. I used to feed a stray cat in my previous apartment who loves to play dead to get my attention for food.
This stray cat loves to join our section during one of my weekend postgraduate class in a local university. After the lecture, we feed her with any food available.
In my next post I will share with you the life of my pets and how I rescued them from a rubble dying of starvation. In the photo are my pets, Kaguring and Chakki, chilling on a hot sunny day. They own the house too, you know.
Again, Happy National Pet Day, everyone.
