“Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day. It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them.” John Grogan, American Author
Cats and dogs are natural enemies, that's a known fact. That's why I'm confused, not of my gender orientation😁, but on why my 2 pets, which happens to be a cat and a dog, get along so well.
So I begin to speculate in my mind on how my two pets really act when I'm not around.
The Secret War Between Chakki and Kaguring
So I'm off to work, like always I leave my 2 pets, chakki and kaguring, in the house and tell them to behave while I'm gone.
Then I locked the door and so it begins..
Chakki: Hey cat! Daddy's gone.
Kaguring: You mean, Mommy's gone.
Chakki: You know, I'm his favourite right?
Kaguring: You wish!
Chakki: Well, he was looking at me before he left.
Kaguring: That's 'coz he doesn't trust you.
Chakki: That's a lie! He trusts me with his house. So I'm in-charge while his gone.
Kaguring: Who died and left you boss?!
Chakki: Well, you're a hairball puking feline.
Kaguring: And you're a trash-eating, shit-sniffing canine.
Chakki: What did you say to me?
Kaguring: Oh, I think you heard me.
Chakki: You better get yourself ready cat!
Kaguring: Oooohhhh.. I'm scared.
[The two gets into a fight.]
Chakki and Kaguring Fighting.

[And then the gate opens and the two stop fighting and immediately fixes the mess they made.]
Chakki: Ok, cat! Back to your position and play it cool.
Kaguring: I'm always cool.
[I open the door and see my two pets in the living room.]
Me: I hope the two of you weren't fighting.
Chakki: Ruff ruff!
Kaguring: Meooowww!
Me: I could have sworn I heard some noise inside the house. Well, I just came back 'coz I forgot my work ID. Okay, I'm leaving now the two of you behave alright!
[Door closes.]
Both: That was really close.
The Real Story
But that's just in my head, just a pigment of my imagination. It's funny if you think about it though. Because that is not always the case.
Kaguring (cat) is the complete opposite of Chakki (dog) but as they grow older I notice that they develop a grudging relationship trying to compete for my attention. While the Chakki always gets my attention, Kaguring's introvert nature on the other hand do not really mind and just walk away and entertain himself somewhere.
They may sometimes turn the house upside down but at the end of the day they have made us become closer with each other. Thank you for reading and I hope their story made you smile.
