When I arrived in Cumana, the current city where I live, I rented a house, to my surprise a cat and a female cat were always approaching me, always looking for food.
A month after I moved in, I was surprised to see that the cat got into the porch under a table I had there, and gave birth to a beautiful white and orange kitten.
I was very excited, I am not going to deny it, every now and then I looked at her and him, when she went away I took the opportunity to look at him more closely but I noticed a detail, the kitten did not walk, nor could he stand, he always went to one side and cried a lot.

I made sure they were both well, and she fed him. When some time passed and the kitten I called Mochi.
One morning when mom came out of the corner, I took the opportunity and grabbed him, to see better why he was not walking, and I saw that he had weak paws, I consulted a veterinarian friend and she told me that little by little she would help him to stand up, and when he succeeded she would help him to start walking.
It was a chore, I did it daily in the morning and in the afternoon when the cat was not with him.

With dedication and perseverance I finally got him to start taking his first steps and I was so happy, so much emotion inside me that I can't explain it with words.
Mochi and I began to make a strong bond, although he was a little grumpy since he was little I managed to win his trust and his heart.

As he grew up he started jumping all over the house, and I was even more excited because he grew up like any other healthy cat.

I was fortunate to share 2 beautiful years of my life with him. He taught me that we can help and be special to anyone who needs us. I had to move to a place where I could not have animals. But since he also spent the afternoons with a neighbor who had two kittens, he decided to adopt him the day I had to move.
To this day he is big, healthy and beautiful and happy with his two cat brothers, and his new mom loves all three of them equally.

Mochi was very special in my life and I will always carry him in my heart.
