This is Jackie, a beautiful dog we rescued a couple of years ago while we were playing sports one afternoon at the beach. The image of her in that moment struck a chord with us so deeply that, without hesitation, we adopted her immediately.
Ella es Jackie, una hermosa perrita que rescatamos hace ya un par de años cuando hacíamos deporte una tarde por la playa. La imagen que nos dio en ese momento nos golpeo tanto el corazón que, sin dudarlo, la adoptamos de inmediato.
You may be wondering if we have records of her when we rescued her, well yes, but this post is to show you how beautiful she is. I promise that in a next post, I will show you those images that broke our hearts.
Se preguntaran si tenemos registros de ella cuando la rescatamos, pues si, pero este post es para mostrarle lo hermosa que es, les prometo que, para un siguiente post, les mostrare esas imágenes que nos rompió el corazón.
This young lady loves the couch, spending long hours relaxing in silence. You rarely hear her bark; we think it's because of all the time she spent outside, on the verge of death. She plays quietly, and her growls can be counted on the fingers of one hand. We believe that, at some point, she'll achieve emotional freedom and begin to laugh properly, properly.
A esta señorita le encanta el sofá, pasa largas horas relajada, en silencio, es rara la vez que la oyes ladrar, creemos que es por todo el tiempo que paso en la calle al borde de la muerte. Juega en silencio y sus gruñidos son contado con los dedos de las manos. Creemos que, en algún momento lograra su libertad emocional y comenzara a reír como debe ser, como tienen que ser.
Here we see Jackie with another rescued lady. Her name is Shakira, and that's a different story. Thanks to the many people who donate, we're able to help and rescue animals from the streets. They deserve a better life.
Aquí vemos a Jackie con otra dama rescatada, ella se llama Shakira y esa es otra historia. Gracias a muchas personas que nos hacen donaciones, logramos ayudar y rescatar animalitos de la calle. ellos merecen una vida mejor.
