En esta oportunidad la vida siempre me pone en escenarios de prueba, y sigo dando lo mejor de mí haciendo lo mejor que puedo. Hoy quiero hablarles de mi experiencia atentiendo a cachorros de la calle, después de una gran lluvia. Me tocó rescatarlos junto a mi pareja y darles una mano amiga, brindándoles un hogar temporal. Dándoles atención, amor, alimentos mientras les garantizaba librarlos de la calle y la crueldad de muchas personas inescrupulosas.
In this opportunity, life always puts me in test scenarios, and I continue to give my best doing the best I can. Today I want to tell you about my experience taking care of street puppies, after a heavy rain. I had to rescue them together with my partner and give them a helping hand, giving them a temporary home. Giving them attention, love, food while guaranteeing them freedom from the street and the cruelty of many unscrupulous people.
Honestamente es primera vez que yo tengo este tipo de experiencia, atendiendo cachorros y a su madre. Unos animales que encontré de camino a mi casa, mientras venía de hacer unas diligencias.
Honestly, it is the first time that I have had this type of experience, taking care of puppies and their mother. Some animals that I found on the way home, while I came from doing some errands.
Casi llegando a mi casa, bajo plena lluvia vi a la madre y a sus 7 cachorros en la acera (6 machos y 1 hembra). Al percatarnos de la situación, la cargamos y la trajimos con sus pequeños bebés. Aunque honestamente no contábamos con mucho espacio ni alimentos pero las ganas de ayudar eran mayores. Así que eso fue lo que contó en este caso...
Almost arriving at my house, in the pouring rain I saw the mother and her 7 puppies on the sidewalk (6 males and 1 female). Realizing the situation, we loaded her up and brought her with her little babies. Although honestly we did not have much space or food, but the desire to help was greater. So that's what counted in this case...
Ya en casa lo primero que hicimos fue buscar ropa de esa que no usamos para secar y abrigar a los cachorros que en este caso eran los más vulnerables por el agua. Después atendimos a la mamá secandola y poniéndole comida. Al hacer esto nos percatamos que la perrita era amorosa y no actuaba con rabia. Así que eso nos dio más confianza de seguirla apoyando.
At home, the first thing we did was look for clothes that we don't use to dry and shelter the puppies, which in this case were the most vulnerable due to water. Then we attended to the mother drying her and putting food on her. By doing this we realized that the dog was loving and not acting angry. So that gave us more confidence to continue supporting her.
Pasaron la noche tranquilos, y me imagino que relativamente cómodos al estar libre de la calle y la lluvia.
They spent the night in peace, and I imagine relatively comfortable being free from the street and the rain.
En la mañana nos dimos cuenta que los perritos ya estaban super activos y saludables, juguetones y pocas veces buscaban a la mamá, así que hicimos la primera prueba de comida, haciéndole arroz blanco. poniéndole poquitas porciones y los perritos accedieron a comer desesperadamente.
In the morning we realized that the puppies were already super active and healthy, playful and rarely looked for their mother, so we did the first food test, making white rice for them. putting little portions and the puppies desperately agreed to eat.
Estando aquí en casa, también nos percatamos que los perritos no comen de la mamá y que son super independientes. Por lo que sacamos conclusiones de que ya tenían más de un mes. Así que viendo esto, y observando que la mamá perruna no busca mucho de ellos, y tampoco tenemos los medios para costear sus gastos de alimentación y cuidado, lo que estamos canalizando , darlos en adopción, buscando familias responsables y cariñosas que puedan con toda la responsabilidad que implica una adopción. Porque también pasa que la mamá sale de la casa y se la mantiene en el sitio donde la rescatamos porque digamos que es su lugar de permanencia.
Being here at home, we also realize that puppies don't eat from their mom and that they are super independent. So we draw conclusions that they already had more than a month. So seeing this, and observing that the dog mother does not look for much of them, and we do not have the means to pay for their food and care expenses, which we are channeling, give them up for adoption, looking for responsible and loving families that can with all the responsibility that implies an adoption. Because it also happens that the mother leaves the house and is kept in the place where we rescued her because let's say that it is her place of permanence.
Mientras el proceso de adopción de estos pequeños cachorros, estamos disfrutando de sus ocurrencias y de sus gestos de amor perruno. Sin duda alguna no hay nada como los animales para renovar nuestra esencia, nuestros sentimientos y los valores de amor por el prójimo.
While the process of adopting these little puppies, we are enjoying their occurrences and their gestures of doggy love. Without a doubt, there is nothing like animals to renew our essence, our feelings and the values of love for our neighbor.
Realmente cuando ayudamos en situaciones difíciles, nos damos cuenta que con pequeñas acciones podemos lograr grandes cambios. Nada como ayudar a los animales, porque ellos son las voces menos escuchadas de la sociedad y las más vulnerables. Así que debemos procurar atender cualquier caso, siempre y cuando podamos y tengamos las maneras de medio apoyar con cualquier cosa. Sino busquemos ayuda, ahorita las redes sociales tienen un poder increíble, y en Venezuela hay fundación o proteccionistas animales que ayudan inmediatamente siempre y cuando estén al tanto de la situación. Sino podemos, avisemos, difundamos, y busquemos ayuda de los voluntarios que siempre están dispuestos y además cuentan con las herramientas necesarias para velar por cualquier situación.
Really when we help in difficult situations, we realize that with small actions we can achieve big changes. Nothing like helping animals, because they are the least heard voices in society and the most vulnerable. So we must try to attend to any case, as long as we can and have the means to support them with anything. If we don't seek help, right now social networks have incredible power, and in Venezuela there are foundations or animal protectionists who help immediately as long as they are aware of the situation. If we can't, let's warn, spread the word, and seek help from volunteers who are always willing and also have the necessary tools to watch over any situation.
