Today I wanted to share the progress I started with my neighbor's dog, who is surly, does not let herself be caught, and our dog Manchitas which I discovered today, that animals are also jealous.
And whenever I chased him he would run away at full speed, it was a lot of fun, but I think we made a lot of progress on the trust issue, he no longer shows me his teeth or growls when I approach, but he still has that look of distrust, since we still don't know each other very well.
I got tired of chasing him and decided to use my faithful mistress: logic, so I thought how can I approach her safely and make her feel comfortable? And nothing like choosing the food, she can be as afraid of me as she wants, but when it's time to eat she doesn't hesitate to come and see what's on her plate.
And as you can see this time of being so distant, now she is eating from my hand xD, a fearful and affectionate dog when she gets confidence, and my dog Manchitas is jealous that I give food to another and not to her, she even growled a couple of times, but I saw that she still tries to play, normal, since Manchitas is just a year old, and the other dog although she doesn't look like she is already 2 years old.
It turns out that she is a breed of small dogs and that is her adult size, she is not going to grow any more, which is ideal for people who like small and tender dogs, although I have no idea what breed she is, but I certainly hope we can get along well.
At the beginning she was very shy and took the bread, but after seeing that the dog Manchitas also took the bread and ate without problems I think she thought that everything was fine and could approach without problems, and with more confidence I also caressed her cheeks and ears.
I spent more than 1 hour with a bread and giving them small pieces, since my intention was to get closer to her and everything went very well, I also got them both to separate by my side, so they do not fight for the food.
And so we are gaining confidence with a little dog that for now spends in the courtyard of the house running away from everyone, but I certainly hope to catch her without being bitten ha ha ha.
