Hello everyone :)!
Let me introduce you to someone very special!
This handsome guy in the photo? That’s Stršljo, my fluffy chauffeur for the day and one of the kindest kitty souls I’ve ever known.
His full, very official name is Stršljen (hornet in English lol..), and that name has a story. When he was a kitten, he was attacked by hornets (yes, actual hornets!) and barely made it. We truly didn’t know if he’d survive. But he fought hard, and with a little help, love, and care he pulled through like a champion!!!
Today, he’s a thriving, healthy, and very spoiled 5 year old (he just had his birthday in May! 🥳🎂).
Stršljo has a sister, too. We call her Dino, short for Dinosaur 😅. One day, my mom saw her walking hunched in the garden and thought, “Oh my, what is that!?? Dinosaurs came back?” And so the name stuck🤣.
But let’s get back to Stršljo, the gentlest, sweetest cat I’ve had the pleasure of having (there were a few more throughout my life). He has never scratched me, never bitten me, not once in all these years. No matter what. He’s always calm, cuddly, and full of love. 🥹
When I say, “Stršljo, here’s a kiss!” he literally lifts his cute little head so I can kiss him😭!
He loves cuddling, sleeping, chatting with me (yes, we have full conversations!), and of course… eating. Food is life, after all :)
What surprises most people is that he’s not afraid of car rides at all. In fact, he’s super calm in the car here in the photo, he decided to be the driver for a bit! 😹💼
Stršljo is not just a pet. He’s a little miracle, a best friend, and a gentle soul who fills my life with love every single day. I’m endlessly grateful he survived those hornets as a baby because I truly can’t imagine life without him.
