Greetings friends! To talk about pets is to talk about my doggy daughter, Dana, she has been by my side for 15 years, she has been unconditional all this time, a warrior of life because I have gone through emotions and scares.

I currently have 2 pets, my dog and a 6 months old cat, but today I want to dedicate this post to my dog.

¡Saludos amigos! hablar de mascotas es hablar de mi hija perruna, Dana, ella tiene 15 años a mi lado, ha sido incondicional todo este tiempo, toda una guerrera de vida porque he pasado emociones y sustos.

Tengo actualmente 2 mascotas, mi perrita y una gata de 6 meses, pero hoy quiero dedicarle este post a mi perrita.

Dana came into my life on March 6, 2006, I went to look for her two hours away from my city, she was a 6 months old dog and nobody wanted to adopt her, as soon as I saw the ad in Facebook I called and brought her to keep her company to my first dog Doky who is no longer with us. I decided to name her Dana, so that both dogs would have the same initials.

At the beginning it was hard for her to adapt because she came from a kennel, she was very nervous about everything. But with love and a lot of affection she was adapting.

Dana llegó a mi vida el 6 de marzo del 2006, que la fui a buscar a dos horas de mi ciudad, era una perrita de 6 meses y nadie la quería adoptar, apenas vi el anuncio en Facebook llamé y me la traje para que le hiciera compañía a mi primer perro Doky que ya no está con nosotros. Decidí llamarla Dana, para que los dos perros tuvieran las mismas iniciales.

Al principio le costó mucho adaptarse por el simple hecho de venir de una perrera, era muy nerviosa para todo. Pero con cariño y mucho amor se fue adaptando.

Today she is already old and what she likes the most is to eat, and she eats everything; I have to be careful when giving her food because even the cat's food she wants to eat, 😂😂😂😂 and if you could see her, later it is hard for her to walk when she satisfies her sweet tooth.

Hoy en día ya está viejita y lo que más le gusta es comer, y come de todo; debo estar pendiente al darle la comida porque hasta la de la gata se la quiere comer, 😂😂😂 y si la vieran, después le cuesta caminar cuando satisface su golocidad.

Because she has a sweet tooth she doesn't mind eating anything, since she was little she has been like that and once I was careless, by then I had given birth to my son, that was in 2011, Dana discovered a dish with what she thought was food, but it was poison for mice, she didn't think about it and ate it, when I realized she was vomiting, I call the vet and all at once he tells me to give her hydrogen peroxide to wash her stomach. The vet arrived, injected him with an anticoagulant and saved his life.

Por golosa no le importa comer lo que sea, desde pequeña ha sido así y una vez me descuidé, para entonces yo había dado a luz a mi hijo, eso fue en el año 2011, Dana descubrió un plato con lo que ella creyó que era comida, pero era veneno para los ratones, no lo pensó y se lo comió, cuando me di cuenta estaba vomitando, llamo al veterinario y de una me dice que le dé agua oxigenada para lavarle el estómago. Llegó el veterinario, le inyecta un anticoagulante y le salvó la vida.

The second scare she gave me was last year, just a few months after my second operation, she got a dead mouse and ate it, but the animal was poisoned, but this time we realized it late, the vet only gave me the name of an antibiotic to see if that would stop the poison and it did, she also gave me the faith that God was not going to take her away from me yet. With effort and love I still have her by my side, now every time she eats I have to watch her.

El segundo susto que me dio fue el año pasado, justo unos meses después de mi segunda operación, se consigue un ratón muerto y se lo come, pero dicho animalito estaba envenenado, pero esta vez nos dimos cuenta tarde, el veterinario solo me dio el nombre de un antibiótico a ver si eso le detenía el veneno y así fue, también me dio la fe de que Dios aún no me la iba a quitar. Con esfuerzo y amor aún la tengo a mi lado, ahora cada vez que come debo vigilarla.

Dana has been an unconditional dog, when I come home, her emotion of seeing me, of happiness, fills my soul. The two times I was diagnosed with my illnesses, she was by my side, she did not separate, she cried when she was taken away from me.

Dana ha sido una perrita incondicional, cuando llego a casa, su emoción de verme, de felicidad, me llena el alma. Las dos veces que me diagnosticaron mis enfermedades, ella estaba a mi lado, no se separaba, más bien lloraba cuando la alejaban de mí.

My love for her is very great, and I feel that I can let her go the day God needs her. I know it is painful to think about it, but my dog has 5 tumors as a result of the poison. But I don't want her to suffer.

El amor de ella se nota en todo momento; mi amor para ella es grandísimo, y siento que ya la puedo dejar ir el día que Dios la necesite, se que es doloroso pensarlo, pero mi perrita tiene 5 tumores a consecuencia del veneno. Pero no quiero que sufra.

To this day she likes to have fun with me and my son, she gets jealous when the cat gets close, they still don't get along well, but as long as I am making her love she is super happy.

Hasta el día de hoy le gusta divertirse conmigo y mi hijo, se pone celosa cuando la gata se acerca, aún no se la llevan bien, pero mientras le estoy haciendo cariño ella es súper feliz.
