During a lovely weekend trip to Zambales about a month ago, we had an unexpected, furry visitor at dinner!
As we were just about to finish our meal at a local restaurant, this charming orange Persian cat strolled up to our table. His pair of cute little eyes and fluffy fur made it hard to resist, and it reminded me so much of my cat, Tofi who was left at home. It came at the right moment when I was already missing Tofi so I was excited and couldn’t help but offer it a little piece of chicken, which it eagerly accepted.
The waiter informed us that it is actually a resident of the restaurant and he is used to patrons giving him food. After finishing the piece of chicken leg I gave him, he let my friends pet him too and dashed out of our table.
Look at him being so comfortable being pet by me.
Although it was just a brief moment, the cat’s appearance added a special warmth to the evening, making it a memorable experience on our trip. There’s just something comforting about meeting a friendly little creature that feels like a piece of home when you’re away.
Unfortunately, the cat already went away when we took this commemorative photo.
