Hey everyone! Its been a little since I introduced my puppy Ahsoka and wanted to share more of her cuteness with everyone. When I rescued her we were living in Denver, Co and down in the city there aren't many trees but we had a few in the yard so she would get a stray stick every now and then and would always chew them up or play fetch if I would throw the stick back out into the yard so I knew she loved them, in fact she would prefer a stick over any stuffed or dog toy with a squeeker inside, where as her older sister Lulu can't resist a good squeek toy.
Well fast forward almost a year and we live in the northern Cascades in Wa state virtually surrounded by sticks. Since moving here she has started a stick collection. I'm not talking about just a few, she has brought enough down that we have had to burn them in the firepit.
Every day as part of her morning routine she goes out, does her business then she goes up into the woods behind the house and will come back with a few different sticks. She usually carries a few down the hill and leaves them until she finds the perfect stick. Sometimes she even raids my neighbors fire wood pile and brings a log back home, which is beyond adorable and amusing to watch her carry down the hill, especially now that there is a good bit of snow on the ground.
Here my older dog Lulu is watching Ahsoka get ready to run up into the woods and snow, you can see from all the tracks in the yard that they both love to play in it as that is over a foot of snow trampled down.
Here is Ahsoka collecting a stick to bring down the hill. The snows not as deep in the woods so she can still find a lot without digging much.
Here she comes down the hill with the stick of choice, there were a few that were dragged out of the woods but she left them and chose this little one this time. I swear shes part mountain goat with how she can jump up and down the rock wall.
After she jumped down I got her to pose for a picture. Can see her birthday collar as well, its a mountain theme since shes a mountain dog. Shes so cute, love her holding her paw up pointing.
I started playing with Lulu some and stopped watching Ahsoka and when I turned back around she had gone back up the hill and came back with a full branch, this one she had to dig out, she shook off the snow that was on her face right before I got a picture. Most of these sticks end up buried after a snowfall and she ignores them to find new ones so come spring I'm sure were going to have a big fire again. Thanks for reading and getting to know more about this sweet cute rescue pup and her adventures as she grows up. I will close out with some more pictures of her having fun with her sticks in the snow.
