A week ago my dear Sombra made me a grandmother again, I hope this time she will be a good mother and will not abandon them after a month. So far she has been a diligent mother, who only goes out to eat and relieve herself, she really has been that way with all her deliveries, we think that as soon as the teeth of these little ones start to sharpen she just doesn't want to nurse them anymore. Nature is something we will never quite understand.
Another theory we have is that her breasts dry out and no matter how much we give her vitamins and food that according to the vet help her generate more milk, she still doesn't keep feeding her babies, leaving the work to us hahaha, my sister in law says that shadow is like those mothers who give away their children, because that's exactly what she does, she breastfeeds them until their first month, or at least until they can already walk and walk around the house alone and then we take care of it.
Some people ask us why we do not sterilize her, and the truth is that at one point we thought about it, because it is something if you want to say normal for many, however, when we talked to the vet and told us how was the intervention, care and risks for her, we simply said no, this is not something natural, and unless there is an imminent risk to her life, we would not subject her to this pain. Others tell me, but giving birth every year she can die too, which is true, we can't cover the sun with a finger, but it would not be something we would cause.
We have had cats all our lives, and at first we only had males, and by not neutering them, as many suggest, they would leave home and spend sometimes weeks outside, it was then that we decided to have females and the story is different. In the particular case of Sombra, she has been the most fertile cat we have had, because as I have already said, she leaves her cats very early, which makes her quickly go into heat, something that does not happen when cats nurse for months to their offspring, however, although Sombra is like that, at home we adore her and take care of her as another one of the family, and now we will take care of her small offspring.

Hace una semana mi querida Sombra me hizo abuela nuevamente, espero que esta vez sea una buena madre y no los abandone luego de un mes. Hasta el momento ha sido una madre diligente, que solo sale a comer y hacer necesidades, realmente así ha sido con todos sus partos, pensamos que en cuanto los dientes de estos pequeños comienzan a afilarse ella ya simplemente no quiere amamantarlos más. La naturaleza es algo que jamás terminaremos de entender.
Otra de las teorías que tenemos es que sus mamas se secan y por más que le damos vitaminas y alimentos que según la veterinaria le ayudan a generar más leche, igual no les sigue dando de comer a sus bebes, dejándonos el trabajo a nosotros jajaja, mi cuñada dice que sombra es como esas madres que regalan a sus hijos, porque es exactamente lo que ella hace, los amamanta hasta su primer mes, o al menos hasta que ya pueden caminar y andar por la casa solos y de ahí nos encargamos nosotros.
Algunas personas nos preguntan que porque no la esterilizamos, y la verdad es que en un momento lo pensamos, pues es algo si se quiere decir normal para muchos, sin embargo, cuando conversamos con el veterinario y nos comentó como era la intervención, los cuidados y riesgos para ella, simplemente dijimos que no, esto no es algo natural, y a menos que exista un riesgo inminente para su vida, no la someteríamos a este dolor. Otros me dicen, pero pariendo todos los años también puede morir, lo cual es cierto, no podemos tapar el sol con un dedo, pero no sería algo que causáramos nosotros.
Hemos tenido gatos toda la vida, y en principio solo teníamos machos, y por no castrarlos, como muchos sugieren, estos se iban de casa y pasaban en ocasiones semanas por fuera, fue entonces que decidimos tener hembras y la historia es diferente. En el caso particular de Sombra, ella ha sido la gata más fértil que hemos tenido, porque como ya lo he dicho, ella deja a sus gatos muy temprano, lo que hace que rápidamente entre en celo, algo que no sucede cuando las gatas amamantan por meses a sus crías, sin embargo, aunque Sombra es así, en casa la adoramos y la cuidamos como otro más de la familia, y ahora cuidaremos a sus pequeños críos.
