Hello, hello... I continue introducing you to the members of my family. Previously I have told you about the pets we have at home, and I have been introducing them to you through pictures... many of you already know that we almost have a zoo here hahaha, well today is the turn to tell you about Pepe, the macaw.
Pepe came into our lives when he was still small, his former owners were moving to another country and not being able to take him with them, they left him in our care, it's been about 4 or 5 years since then.
When he arrived he was already used to be inside his cage, we wanted him to be raised outside of it so he could interact with Pacco, a parrot we had by then and he was all over the house, but Pepe, fearful maybe because we had dogs in the house, always preferred to be in the cage.
Since then, and to this day, the door of his cage remains open, however, he only trusts to go out when it is with my husband. When he wants to go out he calls him non-stop: "daddy, daddy"; then "daddy" already knows that Pepe wants to sunbathe, bathe under the water jet, or what is very common, bathe in the rain. Yes, that's right, every time it rains my husband knows that he has to get wet for a while because Pepe loves to bathe in the rain. I hope soon to be able to take pictures of this magical moment for Pepe, he enjoys it very much.
I always say that he is very selective because he talks a lot, says a lot of words, sings, dances, whistles, spends time whispering with my husband or my children, but he ignores me completely when I talk to him hahaha.
Today when I wanted to photograph him, I tried to bribe him with food so he would trust me and come out of his cage, but no, once again he ignored me, in fact, he even made fun of me, he has such a mocking and outrageous laugh, as contagious hahaha.
My children say that Pepe is the official alarm of the house because he starts singing and whistling so loudly at 6:00 a.m. that he wakes us all up.
Beautiful, right?
