Eh, I think it is in my blood that entries about my dog are always relegated to the background. If he could speak, he would probably shout at me for it :D. The holiday entry will probably appear next week, and for now I will deal with our reminiscences of winter. This year, just like last year, with Taco, we will eat a great sour rye soup - with sausage, chicken (not much, but so that the soup has a better flavor), eggs, potatoes and the rest.
A year ago, as you probably remember, there was no winter in Poland. Ie. in fact, snow had fallen, but generally little snow had fallen. This year was different, we had one of the worst winters of the decade. Taco reacted to it in a funny way - when we were walking around the market during the weekend for shopping, he did not even try to jump over snow drifts or slowly walk through them. We saw several times, be it with my friends or my girlfriend, how Taco took a slight run and rammed them with his hard, but not large, head. He did not want to go out for longer walks - he quickly did what he had to, and then dragged him home. And if I were a lazy like him, today we would fight with his overweight, and his leg problems would get worse (he is already an old man, so he has a hard time walking sometimes). You have to go out with your dog for at least 40-50 minutes a day - you can take one long walk or break it down into 2 or 3 shorter walks. He wasn't happy with that and resisted it, but he weighs 12-13 kilos, and I weigh 85-95, so he didn't have a choice.
And since winter, then also holidays. I kept my promise I gave Taco for our first Christmas - as a gift he got 1.5 kilos of pure meat (divided into 4 portions, breakfast and dinner for 2 days). Sausages, livers, stomachs, chicken pieces, cooked pork loin. The boy was very happy and, as it happens in his case, he licked the white porcelain bowl. Even though he's been with me for the second year, he's still eating ... I'm sorry for this oversight - he pushes the food as greedily as if I were to take his bowl away from him in a moment. I thought that at some point it would change, but I think it will stay this way until the end. It is hardly surprising, he was thrown out of the house 3 times and, as you can see from his several wounds, he had to fight for his own (hence he has a terrible resentment towards all dogs, both large and small. bites them). He has the same problem as some children from orphanages or poor people - their brains make them eat indecently because you don't know when the next meal will be. I don't have this problem. Indeed, sometimes I will raise my voice a bit as he hangs around the room trying to force me to give him a few delicacies while I'm sitting and writing a blog entry. Sometimes I will also spank him as he causes some problems, but I think it's a small penalty for having the whole apartment to himself (and in the summer also a balcony where he loves to sunbathe like a lord), a variety of food and plenty of delicacies he has only that if today there was a hard lockdown in the Chinese version, he would have enough to eat for 3 months. Of course, I would have to give him a maximum of 2 daily, not 2-5 as it is now. Not to mention regular visits to the vet and other extras, such as lying down together and overeating on the bed. What is it, but the boy is very well with me and if he could speak, I would probably have heard more than once that he was extremely lucky.
