Dogs are being treated just like family members. We also celebrate their birthdays and special events. As a dog lover, I highly commend my cousin for doing the same also.
She is a dog lover and she treats each of them with equal love and affection. Today, we celebrate the birthday of her dog, Nutmeg which we will be having a boodle fight.
A "boodle fight" is when we eat our food by hands and place it on a banana leaf.
Boodle Fight Dinner
My cousins, as hosts of this event, were the ones who prepared the food for everyone. They grilled some chicken and pork belly.
They preheated the banana leaf before adding the rice into it and then the grilled chicken and grilled pork belly after.
I enjoy doing boodle fights especially when eating with a lot of people. It is so much fun while sharing fond memories and eating with a lot of people.
Boodle Fight Dinner
We all enjoyed the boodle fight dinner and we were all so full.
Birthday Girl, Nutmeg
While I was about to get up to wash my hands after I ate dinner, the birthday girl Nutmeg came to me and I took some photos of her.
Nutmeg is close to me also because maybe she feels that I myself am a dog lover and she knows I love dogs myself.
I love the fact that my cousin always celebrates the birthdays of all her dogs. She indeed treats all of them like her own daughter.
After the dinner, we had some shots of mojito.
Every celebration is never complete without having shots of our favorite liquor. Paired with lemon and salt, we drank some mojito.
Since we are now living in Tuburan, which is approximately two hours travel time from here in Bogo City, we decided to spend the night here for safety reasons so that we will be traveling the next day for safer travels.
We then slept and when we woke up the next day, my cousin gave me her gifts or in Filipino term we call "pasalubong". A pasalubong is any thing you bring from other places.
As my cousin had a recent travel in Thailand, she brought some Thailand goodies and my favorite pasalubong is the ref magnet because I have been given ref magnets every time they travel and it is such a pleasant sight to my refrigerator.
My Cousin's Pasalubongs From Thailand 🇹🇭
I thank my cousin for always considering me and constantly giving me pasalubongs every travel she does. I am indeed so grateful and blessed.
Before heading home back to Tuburan, we ate some leftover cake from Nutmeg's birthday and we drank some authentic Thailand milk tea she bought from Thailand which tasted so good.
It was such a fun birthday experience and we really enjoyed the time and we are indeed thankful for all the pasalubongs my cousin brought from Thailand.
Happy Birthday Nutmeg and thank you so much to my cousin for being so thoughtful. To good time and good people. Ciao!🫰🏻
