Greetings Hivepets! I want to introduce you to one of my beloved pets Choco. He’s so cute incredibly smart and yes i won’t lie he’s also a total food lover!
I still remember the day i met him. It was a grey rainy Tuesday afternoon when a friend stopped by our place. She told me a distant relative could no longer look after the little guy and asked if i had consider taking him in.
When saw him for the first time with fur the color of rich melted chocolate (that’s where his name came from!) and big bright eyes that seemed to look straight into my heart that i knew immediately he belonged with us. Back then he was just three months old tiny enough that when he stood on his back legs he could barely reach my knee. His tail wagged so fast swear it looked like it might spin right off his body!
What really makes Choco stand out is how clever he is. Inside two weeks of bringing him home he had already mastered basic commands like sit stay and come. Every time he does what we ask he gives us that wide happy grin you see in his photos tongue hanging out like he’s showing off how well he did. He even taught himself how to push open our screen door with his nose!
At first we were stunned but then we realized he only does it when he wants to follow me out to the garden where i hang our laundry. He will sit there quietly under the clothesline watching every shirt and towel sway back and forth in the breeze almost like he’s keeping guard to make sure nothing drops on the ground.
Now let’s talk about his most famous trait that never ending hunger 🤣😂 this boy can sniff out food from anywhere in the house. I could be in the kitchen just peeling an apple, and before i know it i will feel something soft and warm pressing against my leg.
It’s Choco looking up at me with those sweet puppy eyes even if he finished his bowl of food just ten minutes earlier! One time he managed to grab an entire slice of pizza off the coffee table while i was on a phone call. When i turned around, he was licking his lips like he had just eaten at a fancy restaurant with pizza crumbs all over his whiskers.
We have learned to keep everything up high now but we can never stay upset with him for long especially when he gives us that same big smile from his picture, like he’s saying “Hey, it looked too good to pass up!”
In every single photo we take of Choco whether he’s cuddled up with his favorite teddy bear waiting politely by the dinner table, or just beaming because he’s with us he shows us that love does not need to be spoken. He brings so much happiness a little bit of chaos and endless warmth to our home. We would not have things any other way.
