“My Nurse Dude”
He is my private nurse Dude. He recently treats me well. After I came back from surgery, he stays with me very well. Usually, he is my husband’s buddy. He goes everywhere after my husband. Dude comes to me only when he is sleepy, sick or feeling sad. Most of time, he is very friendly and kind to me but not too close.
However, these days, he comes near me all the time. Maybe he can feel my pain after my operation. He is a pretty funny nurse. I see his little nurse hat on his head. Firstly, he tries to look tiny on my bed near my feet. After a few minutes, he takes over my spot. He looks very comfortable on the bed. I feel his snoring and its vibration.
Sometimes he comes to my bed right after he comes back from our yard with his muddy paws. Then, he tries to treat me right next to me… My sheets became brown but I can’t say no to him these days because of his treatment. Anyway, animals are very compassionate and kind to humans. I really appreciate his companionship. I feel my healing process will be quicker with him for sure!
「専属看護師ドュードくん」
彼はわたしの専属看護師ドュードくんです。このところ、とてもよくお世話をしてもらっています。手術から帰ってきてから、彼は私を看護してくれているようです。日頃ドュードは主人のお供です。何をするにも主人の後をついて歩いています。私のところに来るのは、眠たい時、具合が悪い時、悲しい時くらいです。とても優しくフレンドリーに接してくれるのですが、そんなにベタベタはしてきません。
ところが、ここ数日はわたしの近くにベッタリつき添ってくれています。多分手術後のわたしの痛みがわかるのかもしれません。おもしろかわいい看護師さんです。彼の頭の上には小さなナースキャップが見える気がします。はじめは、ベットの上に来て足元で小さくなっています。数分たつとわたしの場所を横取りしてぐーぐーと寝息をたてて寝ます。とても心地よさそうです。イビキがこちらに響いてきます。
時々庭から帰ってきてすぐにどろどろの足のままベットに飛び乗ってきます。そして、またわたしの足元で看護を始めます。シーツが泥で茶色くなっているのが見えますが、看病しようとしてくれている様子なのであまり強くは言えません…。動物はなんて思いやりがあって人間に優しいのでしょう。感謝します。心なしか彼の看病のおかげで治りが早くなりそうな気がします。
