Hello Hive Fam, most especially all the pet lovers around the world! ๐
As temperatures rise, we know how uncomfortable the hot weather can be, not just for us, but for our beloved pets too. Our fur babies, with their thick coats, often struggle more than we do. Thatโs why I want to share my simple yet effective way of easing the heat inside the house, while also saving on electricity.
Recently, I tried a little experiment for my Chow Chow, Cardo. I filled a few pieces of plastic with water, placed them in the freezer, and waited until they turned into solid ice. Once ready, I removed them from the freezer and placed the ice blocks in a basin. I positioned the basin right in front of our electric fan, exactly where Cardo loves to stay and sleep. The cool breeze from the fan, passing over the ice, created a refreshing environment for him.
When the ice eventually softened, thatโs when I decided to turn on the aircon. This way, Cardo enjoyed hours of cool comfort without the aircon running all day long. Itโs a small adjustment, but it makes a big difference. For me, itโs okay to feel a little hot when the aircon is off, as long as Cardo is safe, comfortable, and happy. ๐ถ๐
This method is not only practical but also budget-friendly. It shows that with a bit of creativity; we can care for our pets while being mindful of energy consumption.
Thank you, Hive Fam, for reading my little cooling hack story. I hope this inspires fellow pet parents to try simple solutions that keep our furry companions cozy during the summer heat. Stay cool, and give your pets an extra hug today!
