Hello Hive Family! 💕 I hope everyone is having a wonderful day filled with wagging tails, purrs, and cuddles. Today, I want to share a little story from our home that perfectly captures the bond between our fur baby and his fur dad. It’s bath day for our beloved Chow Chow, Cardo, and as always, it turned into a heartwarming moment worth writing about.
Every Sunday, my boyfriend, Cardo’s fur dad, takes charge of bath time. It’s his rest day, and he always makes sure to dedicate time to caring for Cardo. I’ll admit, I can’t handle bath duty myself because Cardo tends to get aggressive whenever I try to coax him into the tub. But with his fur dad, it’s a completely different story. There’s a trust and bond between them that makes bath time smoother and more enjoyable.
This morning, about an hour after our breakfast, the ritual began. Cardo’s fur dad gently bathed him, making sure every inch of his thick, fluffy coat was cleaned. Afterward, he carefully blowered Cardo’s fur, ensuring it was dry and soft. Chow Chows are known for their majestic coats, and keeping it well-groomed is no small task—but Cardo’s fur dad always manages it with patience and love.
What melted my heart most was what happened after the bath. Once everything was done, Cardo leaned in and gave his fur dad a sweet kiss—a simple but powerful gesture of gratitude. It’s as if he was saying, “Thank you for taking care of me.” Moments like these remind me why pets are truly family. Shortly after, Cardo waddled off to his favorite spot under the stairs, curled up, and drifted into a peaceful nap. Clean, cozy, and content—what more could a fur parent ask for?
Bath days may seem like routine chores, but for us, they’re filled with love, patience, and little gestures that strengthen our bond with Cardo. I’m grateful for my boyfriend’s dedication and for Cardo’s sweet ways of showing appreciation. Thank you, Hive Family, for taking the time to read about our fluffy Sunday ritual. May your pets bring you as much joy as Cardo brings us!
