Hello Hive Fam! Greetings to all the wonderful pet lovers across the world, especially those in the Hive Pets Community! It’s always uplifting to share stories with people who understand the joy and responsibility of caring for animals. Today, I’d like to give you a little update about one of my side hustles that I’ve mentioned before.
As I shared previously, my neighbor entrusted me with the feeding of his chickens. Back then, there were only three, but now the flock has grown to six! I’m currently looking after 2 female chickens, 2 male chickens, and 2 baby chicks. Every day, I make sure they get their food and water around 5:00 to 5:30 pm.
Even though they aren’t technically mine, I treat them as if they were. My neighbor placed his trust in me, and I take that responsibility seriously. He and his wife are nearing their senior citizen years, and since they also have chickens in their backyard, it can be tiring for them to manage everything. That’s where I step in.
While I earn a little from this task, it’s more than just income; it’s a big help to me as the sole breadwinner of my family. With mountains of loans and bills to deal with, every bit of support counts. This side hustle has become both meaningful and practical, reminding me that even small opportunities can make a big difference.
I want to thank my neighbor for trusting me, and I want to thank you, Hive Fam, for taking the time to read my update. Caring for these chickens has taught me patience, responsibility, and the joy of nurturing life. It’s proof that sometimes the simplest tasks can bring the most valuable lessons.
