Hello #hivepets people and hello #hivecommunity and also helo #hive, I dont usually do this but heyyyy , you gotta to start somewhere. So guys listen to me, nothing more relieve than this day. Because I finally find the name of my Tortoises and thank God this felt so good. You guys animal keeper definitely know this right, it used to be like "the big one" and "the small one" nad it just sound so awfull considering its a living creature. So I work calmly hard to find the name for both of my Tortoises, by calmly I mean I dont want to force it to make a name like "buddy" or "mr.pickle" or something like that. I want ot make the name feel so strong and somehow have its own definition, I want to make it sharp and fit with the character. I understand this sound like rainbow and butterfly considering name on the legal paper seems little bit cold in proccess but heyyy Cherish the momment rightt ??!!. So guys with the happiest heart I belonging, I want to tell you the journey of finding a name.
Okay guys it all started fresh in the morning. When I do my routine work with them, I bask those two in warm water with a little bit vitamin I'd added, and with the bright bright sunny morning day (As I can recall it was 9 AM in the morning). It all started beautifully with them with the Tortoise "Vibe" in the morning, looking for something, always craving, run so fast, and thirsty. It just happened like that, ad ya I swear to God I've met a huge lizard (monitor) in front of my porch and I swear to God I was so shocked and after that momment I promise to my self I will never leave my both Tortoise without my watch, because that Predator scary ass shit, I wish I took a photo of it to share to you guys.
Here you go, it was pretty much like this 3 days in a week. I always bask them like this in case one of the got diesease so it will not spread to the other. This routine is in the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, on the Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday I put them on the grassfield in case they want to dig the real soil or just want to play around. Most of the time after routine like this they always poop and pee and also urates (the white poop from the Tortoise). For you guys who don't know that URATES is normal guys, its like a protein that is not absorbed by the body. You have to make sure they urates good or either they eventually have a bladder stone. I basked them for 30 minutes (15 minutes with water , 15 minutes without water).
Ya it pretty much like this when I got them out of water, they walking around FAST and sometimes makes me feel worried all the time. They playing around running into this place that place and all of sudden I noticed they behavior. They pretty much different in terms of habit. The big one like sun blast so much, and the small one like to hide so much. They bith healthy and strong but their differences are not from food and I just realised. So after a few minutes and the long waiting day I wonder "How if I add their name based on their behaviour ?" and I finally got the name right after couple consideration I'd made.
Oh ya little bit FUN FACT if you squat infront of your Star Tortoise, they oftenly crawl to under/between that squat.
I dont know why but every each of my Tortoise do that all the time, it is funny for the first or two but right now it feel like scare me you know, Im affraid I acidentally sit on him it would be fatal. I know some community who talk about this and this pretty normal especially if they feel save around you.
Dang I rambling around again...😅 here you go now I officially Introduce you with the one and only.....
SUNSHINE !!! THATS HIS NAME GUYSSS !!! Ok, First of all he like is sunbath he really active during sunbath and he ver fling for a shade and Im so gratefull with that means he healthy and strong, second of all compare to other Tortoise he completely outbright the other, his yellow line is somehow connected and he is Indian Star, connected line most of the time happen with Burmese Star. His favorite food on the pellet is the yellow one, I know right.. its weirdly funny he is all yellow.
On the scale 1 to 10 he is on 9 if we talking about Opuntia cactus and cucumber. His favorite veggies are those two, and also the way he pick the food is kinda funny , he one handedly pick the food with the left food, also his personality is so brave, I almost never catch him on defensive mode when I grab him or bath him, I knpw sometimes I think this might be sign of him stressed but I always do everything gently to my Tortoises , from feeding, bathing, even (I wish I never have to did this again) force feed him. I wish he always stay strong this way, and give the progress to you guys.

Here I am 4K !!! Behold before me !!! LOL
what ?????? Yes guys this is 4K, his name come from the feeling of tortoise real keeper feeling, I always have this feeling about him , I KNOW IT EXACTLY LIKE IT, this one going to have a lot of thin line spread all over his carapace, Im going to show you later photo from above about this one and also he straight funnily have this cucumber kind of shape. Unlike Shunshine he never been a picky, he eats everything like everthing even I once caught him bites the bedding like starving. I dont know why , He grow so damn fast and thats why limiting pellets for this one.
He dont really into basking instead of eating, thats where as a keeper we have to anticipate , I use D3 calcium to ballance the needs. I got him at 7th May he still around 6,6 cm and now he already 7,8. I swear to God I confuse too. 😮
They really put a great combo together. One of my buddy is grass cutting machine and the other one like a solar panel. They put the Tortoise world and somehow show a different angle for me, I have this plan to get another Tortoise but Im still figuring the money problem, but I always open if you want to make donation for another Tortoise 😅😙😛. I mean it tho. Sunshine and 4K takes a lot of "me time" but I dont mind. They really cute and Im happy for giving my time for them. My only wish for them is they always stay away from any sickness and thats all. I like watching the eat or doing activity, they far away for the word teamwork , they have their own ego and sometimes its kind of funny watching them fighting for food.
But hey sometimes family fight each other right. They are far from perfect in the eyes of Reptile market, especially in AAsia, they were catogerized by this that this that, almost most of the time in Asia market Reptiles they far from unconditional love toward the pets. It was disgusting the took profits from this way. Thats why I want to have more of them, giving something that no one even care in this place called emoetion and love, call them as part of family, buddies or babies not a furniture or extra decoration. I swear to God I swear to mother womb Im going to take care of them or give them family either I fight for the money to give them another member or give them my full to this creature of peace.
Like I told u=you before. I was lost dont know what to do, hate morning person and so slefish, hate around me for so many reason, but their presence renew me to a good direction , I have a responsibily again and somehow or someway they've helped me to meet selflove again. I was broken person, I was so dark and gloomy but now I have a purpose again, they regain me as connection, thinking about them every day regain my mental health. I know this sounds ridicilously ugly and weak but yes they are my babies and they deserve my attention. This may be out of the topic but for you guys out there who read this and feel the same, having pets might be an answer.
