Since I adopted my cats I have tried to be the most responsible human mother and thus prolong their life as much as possible and one of the best things we can do for our pets is to neuter or sterilize and thus prevent them from spreading irresponsibly, this is the second neutering of my black one come and I'll tell you why it's his second neutering:

Desde que adopte a mis gatos he tratado de ser la mam谩 humana m谩s responsable y as铆 prolongar su vida lo m谩s que se pueda y una de las cosas que mejor podemos hacer por nuestras mascotas es castrar o esterilizar y as铆 evitar que se propaguen irresponsablemente, esta es la segunda castraci贸n de mi negro ven y te cuento el por qu茅 es su segunda castraci贸n:
Negro is one of my cats that has been with us for almost 4 years now. He was castrated along with his brother Tesoro when they were 1 year old. At that time, Negro had only one visible and palpable testicle. The veterinarian who treated him told me when she gave him to me after his operation that even though she had palpated him, she couldn't feel his other testicle.
It seemed strange to everyone in the family that his behavior didn't change after the operation. He urinated everywhere marking territory, he chased female cats, he made meowing calls. Unlike his brother Tesoro, who was castrated the same day and his behavior changed completely. He never urinated on things again. He is very calm, he rarely fights with other cats and he is not interested in female cats.
But to our surprise, shortly after his castration, his other testicle came out, making it look as if he had never been castrated. That's when we found out why his behavior hadn't changed.
Negro es uno de mis gatos que nos acompa帽a desde hace ya casi 4 a帽os, el fue castrado junto a su hermano Tesoro cuando ten铆an 1 a帽o de vida, en aquel entonces Negro ten铆a visible y palpable un solo test铆culo, la veterinaria que lo atendi贸 me dijo al entreg谩rmelo luego de su operaci贸n que por m谩s que le hab铆a palpado no le sent铆a otro test铆culo.
A todos en la familia nos parec铆a extra帽o que el luego de la operaci贸n no cambi贸 su comportamiento, orinaba por todos lados marcando territorio, persegu铆a gatas, hac铆a maullidos de llamados, a diferencia de su hermano Tesoro el cual fue castrado el mismo d铆a y si cambio totalmente su comportamiento, el nunca mas orino las cosas, es muy tranquilo, muy poco pelea con otros gatos y no le interesan las gatas.
Pero para sorpresa nuestra poco tiempo luego de su castracion le sali贸 su otro test铆culo, quedando como si jam谩s hubiese sido castrado, all铆 supimos la causa de el porqu茅 el no hab铆a cambiado su comportamiento.
After that experience it was very difficult for us to pay for his neutering again, there were many times when he got sick and I was afraid to put him through surgery and anesthesia again, after so many complications we finally had a wonderful opportunity, my sister discovered a veterinary clinic near her house which does operations once every three months to neuter or spay pets at a very affordable price.
So without thinking twice we decided to sign up for Negro, it was a long month of waiting until the day came, just yesterday December 14th was the appointment, the day before Negro had presented episodes of heat and he ran away from me in the afternoon, no matter how much I called him he didn't appear anywhere, Saturday came and Negro didn't appear, I went out to the yard when it wasn't even dawn yet and I started calling him, the neighbors will think I'm crazy 馃槣 , ha ha, but my interest was that Negro would appear.
English: At about 6:30 in the morning, Negro appeared, I had to feed him since he arrives desperate, after eating he was very restless, I just wanted to hold him back so he wouldn't leave, until finally the hours passed and it was time to go, my daughter and I were able to put him in a basket of those used for dirty clothes, these baskets are perfect for transporting our pets since they are quite large and are not expensive, the ones sold to transport pets are very expensive and many times there is not enough space for them to walk comfortably, and after all the important thing was to transport him in something safe.
luego de esa experiencia se nos hizo muy complicado volver a pagar para su castraci贸n, hubo muchos momentos en los que se enfermaba y me daba miedo someterlo nuevamente a una operaci贸n y anestesia, luego de tantas complicaciones por fin se nos present贸 una oportunidad maravillosa, mi hermana descubri贸 cerca de su casa una cl铆nica veterinaria la cual hace operativos una vez cada tres meses para castrar o esterilizar las mascotas a un precio bastante accesible.
Asi que sin pensarlo decidimos anotar a negro, fue un largo mes de espera hasta que se lleg贸 el d铆a, justo ayer 14 de diciembre era la cita, el d铆a anterior negro hab铆a presentado episodios de celo y se me escap贸 desde la tarde, por m谩s que lo llamaba no aparec铆a por ning煤n lado, se lleg贸 el d铆a s谩bado y nada que negro aparec铆a, sal铆 al patio cuando a煤n no hab铆a amanecido y comenc茅 a llamarlo, los vecinos pensar谩n que estoy loca 馃槣 , ja ja, pero mi inter茅s era que negro apareciera.
C贸mo a eso de las 6:30 de la ma帽ana negro apareci贸, tuve que darle alimento ya que 茅l llega desesperado, luego de comer estuvo muy inquieto, yo s贸lo quer铆a retenerlo para que no se me fuera, hasta que por fin pasaron las horas y se lleg贸 el momento de irnos, mi hija y yo pudimos meterlo en una cesta de las que se utilizan para la ropa sucia, estas cestas son perfectas para el traslado de nuestras mascotas ya que son bastante grandes y no son costosas, las que venden para trasladar mascotas son muy costosas y muchas veces no da el espacio para que ellos anden c贸modos, y despu茅s de todo lo importante era trasladarlo en algo seguro.
After this we started our trip to the Veterinary Clinic, which is quite far away, it is approximately 33 km, almost an hour of travel since the traffic was a bit heavy, Negro did not stop crying the whole way, this broke my heart since his crying was from fear, I can only imagine what they must think or feel.
No matter how much we talked to him or tried to pet him, he did not stop crying, I first went to my sister's house so she could accompany me to the place since she did not know where it was, after a few minutes we arrived, there we were greeted by the veterinarian's assistant, a very nice girl, she took our information to admit him, before him there were a little more than 10 pets, the vast majority of them cats, there I had to leave him until they called me again, it was approximately 10 in the morning, my sister's house is about 10 minutes from the site, we went there to wait for my cat's operation to be ready 馃樄
Luego de esto emprendimos nuestro viaje hasta la Veterinaria esto nos queda bastante retirado son aproximadamente 33 km, casi una hora de viaje ya que el tr谩fico estaba un poco pesado, negro no par贸 de llorar por todo el camino esto me part铆a el coraz贸n ya que su llanto era de miedo, s贸lo imagino lo que pueden ellos pensar o sentir.
Por m谩s que le habl谩bamos o intent谩bamos acariciarlo 茅l no paraba de llorar, pas茅 primero por la casa de mi hermana para que me acompa帽ara hasta el sitio ya que no sab铆a d贸nde quedaba, luego de unos minutos llegamos, all铆 nos recibi贸 la asistente del veterinario, una chica muy agradable, nos tom贸 los datos para ingresarlo, antes de 茅l hab铆an un poco m谩s de 10 mascotas la gran mayor铆a gatos, all铆 deb铆a dejarlo hasta que ellos volvieran a llamarme, eran aproximadamente las 10 de la ma帽ana, la casa de mi hermana queda a unos 10 minutos del sitio nos fuimos hasta all谩 a esperar que estuviese lista la operaci贸n de mi gato 馃樄
At approximately three in the afternoon the assistant called me to tell me that I could go get Negro. We got our things ready and we quickly went to the place. When we arrived Negro was still under anesthesia. The girl told me that he had to wait a while since his operation was very recent and it would take him a while to wake up. We got home and it wasn't until approximately 6:30 that he started to wake up.
At times he vomited. This is partly my fault since I shouldn't have given him food, but it breaks my heart when he comes home in the mornings since he is desperate from hunger. We helped him stand up and he walked unsteadily. His recovery was too slow. At 10 at night he was still a little faint.
I had to go out to run an errand and my daughters and my niece were left in charge of his care, after a while when I got home I looked for him and picked him up and they saw him, it was very funny, he lay down in my arms as if he was still anesthetized, ha ha, my daughters told me that he was already walking and was quite recovered, but as soon as he saw me he became very spoiled and fainted in my arms, this made me very tender because black is difficult to carry for a long time, black, despite showing episodes of aggressiveness, is a very spoiled cat.
Aproximadamente a las tres de la tarde me llam贸 la asistente que ya pod铆a ir a buscar a negro, alistamos las cosas y nos fuimos r谩pidamente hasta el sitio, al llegar negro estaba todav铆a anestesiado la chica me dijo que ten铆a que esperar un buen rato ya que su operaci贸n estaba muy reciente y le costar铆a un poco despertar, llegamos a casa y fue hasta las 6:30 aproximadamente que comenz贸 a despertar.
En momentos vomit贸, esto en parte es mi culpa ya que no deb铆 darle alimento, pero me parte el coraz贸n cuando 茅l llega en las ma帽anas ya que llega desesperado de hambre, lo ayudamos a pararse y caminaba tambale谩ndose, su recuperaci贸n fue demasiado lenta, a las 10 de la noche todav铆a estaba un poco desmayado.
Yo tuve que salir a hacer una diligencia y mis hijas y mi sobrina quedaron a cargo de su cuidado, luego de un rato al llegar a casa lo busqu茅 y lo cargu茅 y lo fueran visto, fue muy gracioso, se tumb贸 en mis brazos como si estuviese anestesiado todav铆a, ja ja, mis hijas me dijeron que 茅l ya estaba caminando y estaba bastante recuperado, pero en lo que me vio se puso muy consentido y se desmay贸 en mis brazos, esto me dio mucha ternura ya que negro es dif铆cil cargarlo por mucho rato, negro a pesar de mostrar episodios de agresividad es un gato muy consentido.
Keeping him inside the house was quite difficult, one of my daughters and I were up until almost 3 A.M. fighting to keep him from getting out, my house has many windows, some without protection, so he can easily get out and this made everything complicated for us, the only thing that gave me encouragement is that Negro was already quite active, in the morning I felt that he was in a little pain so I gave him the medicine, we only hope that his recovery is quick and that he can live a calm, long and very happy life.
Retenerlo dentro de la casa fue bastante dif铆cil, una de mis hijas y yo estuvimos casi hasta las 3 A.M. luchando para que no se saliera, mi Casa tiene muchas ventanas algunas sin protecci贸n por lo que puede salir afuera f谩cilmente y esto nos complic贸 todo, lo 煤nico que me dio aliento es que Negro ya estaba bastante activo, en la ma帽ana lo sent铆 que estaba con un poco de dolor as铆 que le di el medicamento, s贸lo esperamos que su recuperaci贸n sea r谩pida y que pueda vivir una vida tranquila, larga y muy feliz
