A veces la vida tiene una forma muy curiosa de entregar aquello que tanto anhelamos. Cierro los ojos y, como si se tratara de una escena ya predicha en mis sueños, te apareces en mi realidad, una perrita grande, con cola peluda, unos ojos hermosos y pelaje color chocolate, tal cual como te imaginé Y ahora te tengo aquí. No eres solo una mascota, tu eres el sueño que cobró vida en forma de una perrita color chocolate.

Sometimes life has a very curious way of giving us what we long for so much. I close my eyes and, as if it were a scene already predicted in my dreams, you appear in my reality, a big dog with a furry tail, beautiful eyes and chocolate-coloured fur, just as I imagined you. And now I have you here. You are not just a pet, you are the dream that came to life in the form of a chocolate-coloured dog.

Nuestra historia empezó con desafíos ya que fuiste una perrita rescatada, con 3 años de edad cuando llegaste a mi vida. Parte de tu historia que conozco, es que estabas en un galpón con varios perritos, unas personas te recogieron de la calle y quién sabe en qué condiciones estabas antes de eso. No puedo evitar pensar la vida que dejaste atrás, se me arruga el corazón. Esa vida pudo haber estado marcada de soledad, de miedos, de tristezas, de peligros y maltratos, momentos que te hicieron desconfiar de todo. Sin embargo el primer día que te vi en persona fue el día en que por fin llegaste a casa, y algo mágico sucedió, yo sentí una emoción tan grande y un nudo de felicidad en el pecho que apenas me dejaba respirar. Lo más increíble fue tu reacción, a pesar de tu pasado me saludaste con una alegría desbordante como si me hubieras conocido de toda la vida, como si finalmente hubieras llegado a tu lugar seguro y así fue.

Our story began with challenges, as you were a rescue dog, three years old when you came into my life. Part of your story that I know is that you were in a shed with several other dogs, some people picked you up off the street, and who knows what conditions you were in before that. I can't help but think about the life you left behind, and it breaks my heart. That life could have been marked by loneliness, fear, sadness, danger and abuse, moments that made you distrust everything. However, the first day I saw you in person was the day you finally came home, and something magical happened. I felt such great emotion and a lump of happiness in my chest that I could hardly breathe. The most incredible thing was your reaction. Despite your past, you greeted me with overwhelming joy, as if you had known me all your life, as if you had finally arrived at your safe place, and so it was.

Desde ese momento me siento totalmente satisfecha de haberte brindado una nueva oportunidad. Ese pasado gris lo fuimos transformando paso a paso en felicidad, confianza, llenos de amor y días maravillosos. Tu presencia ha dado un giro a mi existencia, tú eres ese calor que inunda mis días grises, incluso parece que tienes un sexto sentido, porque cuando me siento mal, tú simplemente lo sabes. Tus latidos alegran los míos y en cada compartir me inundas de una alegría que no sabía que necesitaba.

Since that moment, I feel completely satisfied that I gave you a new opportunity. Step by step, we transformed that grey past into happiness, trust, love and wonderful days. Your presence has turned my life around. You are the warmth that fills my grey days. It's as if you have a sixth sense, because when I feel bad, you just know. Your heartbeat makes mine beat faster, and every time we share something, you fill me with a joy I didn't know I needed.

Lo que más me asombra de ti, es tu capacidad para comunicarte, a través de tus miles expresiones me has enseñado que los perros hablan con el alma, puedes comunicar con una mirada o con un gesto, como cuando quieres salir a explorar el mundo; si tu plato de agua se vacía pronto escucharé una patita golpeando el plato o lo agarras y lanzas para que suene más duro ¡Eres pura inteligencia!.

What amazes me most about you is your ability to communicate. Through your thousands of expressions, you have taught me that dogs speak with their souls. You can communicate with a glance or a gesture, like when you want to go out and explore the world. If your water bowl is empty, I will soon hear a paw tapping on the bowl, or you will grab it and throw it so it makes a louder sound. You are pure intelligence!

En el día a día eres mi sombra más fiel, cuando me siento en el mueble te instalas a mi lado inmediatamente, si decido hacer ejercicio en la sala te conviertes en mi entrenadora personal saltando conmigo o buscándome la pelota para jugar. Y en la mesa esa carita de esperanza esperando que le dé un pedacito de comida, ¿cómo resistirse a esa mirada?.

In everyday life, you are my most faithful shadow. When I sit down on the sofa, you immediately settle down beside me. If I decide to exercise in the living room, you become my personal trainer, jumping with me or fetching the ball for me to play with. And at the table, that hopeful little face waiting for me to give you a little bit of food—how can anyone resist that look?

Te has vuelto tan especial que ya eres la famosa del vecindario, todos ya te conocen porque aunque no buscaban acariciarte, tu los saludabas y ahora son ellos quien aman saludarte. Pero lo que más impresiona a todos es tu sabiduría, si me detengo a conversar durante nuestro paseo, tú sigues el camino sola hasta la entrada del edificio, alli te quedas, sentada y paciente, esperando por mí sin ni siquiera intentar entrar hasta que yo llegue. Tu inteligencia y tu nobleza son lecciones diarias para mí.

You have become so special that you are now famous in the neighbourhood. Everyone knows you because even though they didn't seek to pet you, you greeted them, and now they are the ones who love to greet you. But what impresses everyone most is your wisdom. If I stop to chat during our walk, you continue on your own to the entrance of the building, where you stay, sitting patiently, waiting for me without even trying to go in until I arrive. Your intelligence and nobility are daily lessons for me.
