Hey.. Hey HIVE friends meet again with us Tomi Maya from Medan Indonesia, this is our first post in this community, hopefully all Hive friends can provide positive encouragement and support for us. thank you.
In this post, we will share stories about our pets. My husband and I's schedule of teaching from morning to noon requires us to be able to value our time more and relax our own minds in simple ways, one way is by raising livestock.
In the backyard of our very simple house we keep ducks, and some chickens. In terms of numbers It's not much but my husband is very happy with their presence, very entertaining.
After coming home from work, and after lunch, my husband immediately rushed to the backyard of our house to replace the livestock drink, and feed the cattle with bran (finely ground rice husk)
Talking about our pet food, which is a type of poultry, we currently use bran, which is the husk from the inner part of the paddy that is mashed. We bought the bran at a rice mill which is about 1 km away from our house. so for 1 week I need about 50 kilograms of rice bran. The price of the bran that we bought was Rp. 2,300 per kilogram.
I also use the outer husk of paddy for the bottom of my duck cage so that the ducks are comfortable in the cage and not cold, we don't buy this rice husk, but I just ask for free from the owner of the rice mill.
Since we keep several cattle at home, there is a special entertainment when the animals finish their food with enthusiasm. The feeling of tiredness when you come home from work disappears instantly. We hope that when we see our pets, hopefully they can help our economy, and we can enjoy free livestock eggs and meat and of course it's healthier than livestock eggs that are produced outside, because there are chemical injections. Meanwhile, our livestock do not have any chemical injections or stimulant drugs.
Ok until here first our story, greetings from Tomi Maya, Medan, Indonesia
