Ellas son muy buenas para la postura pero para echarse no son recomendables ya que algunas suelen pararse del nido y seguir como si nada.
A la hora de criar gallinas debemos conocer un poco su raza, algunas tendrán mas ventajas que otras, bien sea por su tamaño, peso entre otras cosas.

La raza de gallina blanca es buena ponedora y para algunos comercios su carne es mas suave, si bien es cierto no les gusta echarse mucho podemos utilizar suplentes que hagan ese trabajo.
Actualmente tengo una pollita llamada blanquita y es que su plumaje es hermoso, es raza de esta gallina con un gallo piroco.
Esta gallina es tranquila y respeta los espacios, siempre está en su gallinero y le encanta darse baños de tierra, algo si tienen es que saben defenderse y si llega otra a querer meterse con ella la va a dejar muy mal.

Yo desde pequeña hacia decoraciones con las plumas que dejaban las gallinas, en el colegio mandaban a hacer los gorros indigenas y yo feliz hacia los míos, y las plumas las pintaba con acuarela o pintura al frio.
Durante los carnavales ayudé a muchos niños en la decoración de las plumas, les digo que pintadas se ven muy hermosas, solo debemos hacer un buen trabajo con ellas, es bueno recolectarlas siempre sirven para algo.
