Hello fellow pet and animal lovers!!
I am quite new to HIVE and very excited to introduce my children to you. For now I will only be introducing the oldest, Luna, 2 years & 6 months old.
She doesn't lie still a lot, so her laying there infront of one of my aloes blooming, is just perfect
It all started with me and my fiance moving into our own place December 2019, just before COVID hit. I work remotely, even before COVID, my home is my office.
I was diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder when I was 17 and being alone all day gets difficult. I am unfortunately someone who needs another breath in the house, otherwise I do get a little agitated. My fiance and I both wanted a pitbull, but due to the rules of the complex we stayed in, we were not allowed to get one.
I am a big dog fan, but have always had a soft spot for dapple daschunds. A colleague of mine's dapple luckily had pups and she didn't want to sell them, but only wanted food homes, and that is how we got our baby girl.
On our way home after picking her up
Lee-Roy (my fiance) kept saying, she will be an outside dog, she will not sleep in the bed, won't be on the couch, and it was not too long before she had him wrapped around her little paw.
He was smitten, but never wanted to admit it
Over the last 2 years she just made everything better and easier. Even Lee-Roy could see the difference she made in me. He told me multiple times he could see that I was more calm and happy.
She is the most sensitive little pup ever! She knows when you are down, when you need a break, when you hold her while crying, she just lays still without getting energetic as usual. When Lee-Roy went through a rough time and had to start seeing a psychiatrist, she felt it on and actually developed ulcers. She is fine after some medication, but she never left him alone.
After Roy passed away she lost a bit of her spark
She is still my little ray of sunshine and I love her to bits!! She is starting to become her old self again and plays with her little brother like a real older sibling; a little rough, but still gentle.
She gives the best cuddles
Thanks for meeting my baby girl! She will make a few more appearances.
