Greetings friends of #hivepets, it is a pleasure for me to be with you again to tell you how I rescued this cute puppy that I found abandoned, tied to a bridge. First of all I wanted to tell you that many times I don't explain to myself how people who have a pet since they were little can abandon it, either because they don't have money to feed it or because they simply don't want it anymore, I particularly think that they don't deserve to have a pet at home because a pet at home is like another member of the family.
While driving I saw this cute puppy and managed to pull over. My wife helped me untie the knot on her collar and then we put her in our car. The puppy seemed very scared, very submissive, she wasn't even trying to bite, she was just scared. When I took her home I gave her a provisional name, which was Shirley, she started to feel some confidence at home and started to wag her tail, our dog Carmelo was very jealous with the presence of this puppy because he surely thought we were exchanging him for her and leaving him in the background; however, I managed to bring her closer to meet her, when I had Shirley in my arms I noticed that she was scratching a lot and when I visualized her I could see that she had a lot of fleas and ticks, she needed a good bath.
My wife provided me with a bravecto tablet which was a small portion and we gave it to her. I left Shirley in the yard so she would not drink Carmelo's water, as she would surely have parasites and could contaminate it with parasites, while she was in the yard she took care of knowing every corner of it, after 3 hours I went to get her to give her a good bath, my wife helped me and the amount of ticks and fleas we were able to extract from this little dog was incredible, that's why she was very restless. When she finished her bath she relaxed and slept for a few minutes, then we fed her and left her with Carmelo, so she could spend the night with him keeping him company. My wife that same night posted in her Telegram group about this cute little dog looking for a home, she posted some pictures and it didn't take long for them to write to her, they wanted to have her home for the next day.
The next day I looked for her and she was outside playing with Carmelo. She was happier to see me and more confident inside the house, although she spent most of the night barking in search of her home, she was looking for some escape route inside the yard of the house thinking surely of her owners, after seeing her in the morning I managed to get her in our car to take her to her new home. My wife accompanied me and when we arrived at the place my surprise was that there was a lady with her children full of joy, even with a new name for that puppy, her new name was Victoria, the children immediately carried her and their joy was overflowing, since she was the first pet they would have at home. Victoria was a little scared, maybe, but I know that within this story she would have a new home, a new family to share and grow with, I felt very happy with this action that I did together with my wife because this puppy was in the street and now she had a home and someone who could take care of her. I left the place with a lot of satisfaction and joy thinking about this dog because I knew that if she was going to be valued and to be part of a new family.
I hope you liked this story that starts a little sad and ends happy, my best wishes to all of you.
