Mika had a spa day to have a bath, haircut, and nail trimming. She really needed to go as her hair was getting very long, not that I mind it that way, but she loves to play in the snow and it gets quite wet.
Bad Hair Day
As you can see here her hair is getting out of control and she is starting to look a bit on the wild side.
Having a chat
Dad is having a little chat with her to let her know she is going to the spa and below she looks at me with a cute look wondering what is about to happen. lol
Upon arriving at the groomers she began shivering and whining in my arms knowing well what was ahead of her. This is the second trip to the spa and I don't think she is a big fan yet.
Ride in the car
Mika usually does not like riding in the car and often gets nervous. However, after picking her up from the groomer she laid right down in my lap all the way home. I think she was exhausted from all the special attention she got and thankful it was all over.
Snow Removal
Now, this was a bit funny because as soon as we got home and took her to the back yard she went wild in the snow. I think she was trying to get the perfumy scent off herself. The groomer used a sweet-scented shampoo on her and I don't think she liked it much by her actions. It was quite comical to watch her.
Her face was full of little snowballs that had to melt off by themselves because they were stuck on her face. She was not happy with that when we took her in the house and they were dripping all over her face.
Exhausted
She went right into her crate all by herself and took a much-needed nap to release the stress from her spa day. She looks so different with her shorter hair but it will be much more manageable with the winter weather. How do your pets do with the snow? Mika loves bounding around in it and watching the little balls roll in front of her. She makes it a lot of fun for herself and it helps to burn off that extra puppy energy.
Until next time, this is Sunscape
