Mika is now 6 months old and still has more energy than I do. Sometimes I question what I was thinking when I decided that my husband needed another dog companion. I have to admit that the last 4 months have been a whirlwind at our home since her arrival in August.
Today, I will share some of the photos I have taken of her over these last few months. Everyone loves to have some puppy cuteness now and then, right?
Playtime
Mika has two toy boxes in different areas of the house and each is full of fun squeaker toys to play with. She asks to play with us ALL day long, oh my!
Naptime After Playing Hard
Playing In The Fall Leaves
By the time she was done playing with her human dad raking leaves she was a filthy mess. Of course, a bath was in her immediate future and I had the tub full of warm water when she came in. Much to her dismay I dried her off and used my blow dryer to help her dry more quickly. That was not her favorite moment for sure.
Sunning After A Bath
I am sure she was not happy with me taking all the dirt off that she worked so hard to get on her. She certainly smelled a lot better, to me at least.
Asking For Treats
Whenever she is ready to settle down she will sit and stare at one of us. We then know that she is ready to lie down with a nice treat to chew on. Thank goodness for chewy bones that are safe for the dogs now. They really helped immensely during her teething and saved us from her chewing on the furniture, well, most of the time.
If you have trouble with a puppy always trying to chew on furniture, we found that a spray bottle with plain white vinegar in it worked wonders. Apparently, animals don't like the smell and will then leave it alone for a couple days. Spraying with a fine mist is all you need to help keep them from chewing unwanted things.
Chewy With Dad
Of course her daddy likes to hold the bone for her sometimes. She isn't too spoiled, is she?
Nappy After Treats
Daddy found her a Curious George stuffed animal and she loves to sleep in the brand-new bed she got for Christmas.
Mikas Bed Buddy
I hope you have enjoyed my "cuteness" puppy update and look forward to seeing your puppy posts too.
