Hello ...
This time I want to tell you about the story of a cat that I took care of. But now he has slept peacefully.
His name is Yomi, this mixed domestic and Persian cat made me fall in love. At first he suddenly came to my house to eat, because I always prepare food for stray cats.
Long story short, Yomi who comes every day gradually feels comfortable and he seems to indicate that my home area is where he lives. He slept and played happily, I was surprised because I never knew where and whose cat this was, until finally someone admitted that it was his.
Day by day the cat grew closer to my other cat, and he didn't want to go home. Who would have thought that when I asked them how they took care of them, it turned out that many people said that he was treated badly. I also decided to adopt him and asked that I be allowed to care for him. They also allow.
Yomi, I'll give him that name. At that time he was about 3 months old, his body was small and thin, dirty and also had the flu. I also patiently took care of her and after 1 month he became fat and beautiful. Then the unwanted thing happened.
That night at 10 pm as usual I would collect my cat to go home but not with Yomi, he disappeared. My brother and I looked for him roaming around the house and also walking until midnight. And finally a neighbor told me that Yomi was taken by the old owner, I stopped looking.
The next day Yomi came again and it was true that he was taken by the old owner. Yomi ran away and came home to my house but the old owner didn't like it and he asked Yomi to come back by force and he even locked Yomi in a cage that was dirty and wet due to rain.
Every day I heard Yomi's screams, occasionally I came and gave her food. When I looked into the cage I was very surprised because the old owner only gave leftover rice even vegetables that shouldn't be given to a cat. I held back tears seeing him getting thinner and thinner.
Several months passed, I made peace with myself and let Yomi be with his old owner. They started releasing Yomi out of the cage and playing with other cats. I tried to carry it but I don't want bad rumors to happen to me again. Someone told me that the old owner spread a rumor that I stole his cat and it made me angry. It's just that I don't want to make a fuss.
Then I moved and I left Yomi to my sister. I asked her to provide food when Yomi came, at least I still looked after him even though I wasn't with him. After a few months I heard the news that Yomi had died and his body was washed away at sea. I was shocked and even cried, how could they have the heart to dispose of the corpse? Meanwhile, almost every day I hope to sleep with him. I also asked my brother to bury him properly.
Goodbye Yomi, goodbye my boy, now you have lived in a place much more comfortable than a world full of cruel people. Hopefully one day we can meet again.
Best Regards,
Tina K Harnis.
