Hi, my dear friends!
The accidental introduction of chickens into my home has made me rethink a lot of things, not so much about these birds, but about how people treat chickens.
I always knew that chickens were very intelligent birds. Whoever coined the expression "chicken brains" probably wasn't very smart or didn't know anything about chickens.
The actual change in my opinion was the fact that I was surprised to discover that there are a huge number of people who have chickens as pets. You won't believe it, but there really are a lot of such people.
Well, I was glad to have like-minded people in my slightly odd hobby.
Meanwhile my hobby is making changes in my life. My chickens have bare necks and the coming winter has created a risk of colds for them. I made the decision to take them indoors. Luckily I have a large indoor aviary and I was able to house them comfortably. So...now I'm listening to the duet of two roosters in the morning! Nooooo, it doesn't annoy me. Honestly, I'm so used to these birds that I just don't pay attention to their singing. They don't even wake me up in the morning.
But their presence in the house has brought much amusement to my dogs, who enjoy watching the new inhabitants of the house.
I let the birds walk around the room during the day, and if it happens to be a warm day, I take them outside.
