Today I'm going to tell you how Bartolo helps me check invoices and receipts during the afternoons. 🤗
Bartolo es el típico gatito que demuestra continuamente su cariño. Es de esos que te reciben cada vez que te ven, dándote la bienvenida y, por supuesto, pidiéndote explicaciones de a dónde te fuiste sin llevarme. En ese sentido, es como dicen muchos que es más parecido al comportamiento de un perro que el de un gato.
Bartolo is the typical cat who continually shows his affection. He is one of those who greets you every time he sees you, welcoming you and, of course, asking you to explain where you went without taking me. In that sense, it is, as many say, more similar to the behavior of a dog than that of a cat.
Luego de sus arañazos, sus cuelgues de mi cuerpo y de darme muchos besos en la cara y la oreja, él comienza a jugar, pero esta vez yo tengo que concentrarme en los papeles porque hay que pagar las facturas de luz, gas, expensas, etc. Así que lo único que hago es mirarlo a los ojos y decirle "Bartolo, necesito que me ayudes con los papeles" y él se queda tranquilito mirándome haciendo las cuentas sin hacer nada que me distraiga.
After his scratches, his hanging on my body and giving me lots of kisses on the face and ear, he starts to play, but this time I have to concentrate on the paperwork because we have to pay the electricity, gas, utility bills, etc. So all I do is look him in the eyes and say "Bartolo, I need you to help me with the paperwork" and he stays calm looking at me doing the math without doing anything to distract me.
Como mi tarea le aburre un poco, él trata de morder o destrozar los papales, cosa que me vendría bárbaro para no pagarlo 😂. Pero no, no puede hacer eso, así que solo se lo quito y se queda mirándome. En un momento se acuesta arriba del control remoto del televisor, así que pensé... "Tal vez quiera ver tele"... así que le prendí su amado televisor.
Since my homework bores him a bit, he tries to bite or tear up the papers, which would be great for me to avoid paying for it 😂. But no, he can't do that, so I just take it away from him and he stares at me. At one point he lays on top of the TV remote, so I thought... "Maybe he wants to watch TV"... so I turned on his beloved TV.
Y eso es lo que él quería. Le puse un canal de noticias para que esté informado, ya que estaba muy preocupado por las elecciones de ese año. Mientras él prestaba atención al canal y a las noticias, yo pude terminar de hacer el control de las facturas a pagar.
And that's what he wanted. I put a news channel on for him so he could be informed, since he was very worried about the elections that year. While he paid attention to the channel and the news, I was able to finish checking the bills to be paid.
Y como ya tenía sueño, él lo demuestra enseguida subiéndose a mi hombro como un pájaro. Él se acuesta ahí indicándome de que deje eso para otro día y que vayamos a dormir.
Así es Bartolo, quien me marca el ritmo de mi día. 🤗
And since he was already sleepy, he immediately showed it by climbing onto my shoulder like a bird. He lays down there, telling me to leave that for another day and go to sleep.
