My dog was called Oso (Bear in English), although I affectionately called him Osito or Titi. He sadly passed away this Saturday due to a disease known as canine distemper, which affects the brain. According to the vet, Oso had passed the disease, but the sequels that remained were getting worse little by little, to the point that Oso could no longer even walk and was suffering.
Mi perro se llamaba Oso, aunque yo cariñosamente le decía Osito o Titi. Tristemente falleció este sábado debido una enfermedad conocida como Moquillo canino, la cual afecta el cerebro. Según el veterinario, Oso había pasado la enfermedad, pero las secuelas que le quedaron fueron empeorando poco a poco, al punto que ya Oso no podía ni caminar y estaba sufriendo.
How I met Oso/Como conocí a Oso
Let's move on to something more pleasant, I want to tell you how Osito came into my life. Well, first I must say that as long as I can remember, in my house there have always been pets of all kinds, be they dogs, cats, fish and even once we had a parrot, but especially we have always liked dogs a lot. That's why when Oso came into our lives, we already had a dog named Prince and a cat. But that didn't matter because Oso was the cutest puppy I had ever seen in my life and it was love at first sight 😍.
Pasemos a algo más agradable, quiero contarles como Osito entró a mi vida. Bueno, primero debo decir que desde que tengo uso de memoria, en mi casa siempre ha habido mascotas de todo tipo, ya sean perros, gatos, peces e incluso una vez tuvimos una cotorra, pero especialmente siempre nos han gustado mucho los perros. Por eso cuando Oso llegó a nuestras vidas, teníamos ya un perro llamado Príncipe y un gato. Pero eso no importó porque Oso era el perrito más lindo que había visto en mi vida y fue amor a primera vista 😍.
My brother brought him in January of this year, when he was only 6 months old, you see, I couldn't even enjoy a whole year with him 😔. But in this short period that I was with him, he had a great impact on my life, honestly he has been the dog that I have loved the most and I was devastated after his departure 😭. Only until now I can write about him and see the pictures of him without shedding any tears, I choose to stay with the joyful moments we spent together.
I lie to you, I couldn't do it, I need more time to get over it. I breathe, walk a few steps and keep writing, because I do it with love, for him ❤.
Mi hermano lo trajo en enero de este año, con solo 6 meses de edad, ya ven, no pude ni disfrutar un año entero con él 😔. Pero en este corto periodo que estuve con él impactó mucho mi vida, honestamente ha sido el perro que más he querido y quedé destrozada tras su partida 😭. Solo hasta ahora puedo escribir sobre él y ver sus fotos sin derramar ninguna lágrima, elijo quedarme con los momentos alegres que pasamos juntos.
Les miento, no pude hacerlo, necesito más tiempo para superarlo. Respiro, camino unos pasos y sigo escribiendo, porque lo hago con amor, para él ❤.
My life with Oso/Mi vida con Oso
Life was better with Oso. When I had a bad day he was always there for me, wagging his tail and licking me. You see, Oso liked to lick people a lot, that's how he showed his love. Just having him around made me happy and calm. I could be washing up, cooking or watching a movie and he was always close to me, even when I went to the bathroom he accompanied me 😄.
Con Oso la vida era mejor. Cuando tenía un mal día él siempre estaba ahí para mi, moviendo su colita y lamiéndome. Verán, a Oso le gustaba mucho lamer a las personas, así demostraba su amor. El solo hecho de tenerlo cerca me transmitía felicidad y calma. Podía estar fregando, cocinando o viendo una película y él siempre esta cerca de mi, incluso cuando iba al baño me acompañaba 😄.

I also remember with great love every time I came home from work, Oso would go to the door or come out from under the bed when he felt I was going into the house. It was euphoric to see each other, we spent about three minutes greeting each other, him licking me and me caressing him, total madness, but very funny. It was a recharge of energy for the heart.
También recuerdo con gran amor cada vez que llegaba a casa después del trabajo, Oso iba hacia la puerta o salía debajo de la cama cuando me sentía llegar. Era una euforia al vernos, pasábamos como tres minutos saludándonos, el lamiéndome y yo acariciándolo, una locura total, pero muy divertida. Era una recarga de energía para el corazón.
